This resort is truly amazing- so unique and very luxurious. The staff at all of the restaurants, coffee shops, reception, and drivers were all incredibly helpful. Our room was stunning. Do yourself a favor and book a private tour of the hanging bridges/la fortuna with Yahaira at Nayara. She was so enthusiastic and knowledgable. She found amazing creatures that we would have never seen without her eye and ear. She also helped us take amazing pictures and was incredibly pleasant to be around! The other excursions that Nayara booked for us were great too- skydiving at skytrek and kayaking with Jacamar tours (Nelson was also an amazing guide for this) .

Hotel's Favorite
My husband and I loved our experience at Nayara Springs! All the other reviews are correct; the experience in person is better than just reading the reviews or seeing the pictures online. The employees, villa, food, excursions, etc. really make this location special! A few things that the reviews didn’t tell us prior to our trip that I wish we would have known. 1) You do not need to transfer from USD to Colon. USD is accepted and appreciated for tips both on the resort and off. But do definitively tip, as everyone does go above and beyond to ensure your needs are met! 2) You can drink the water! The resort does refill several water containers twice per day in your villa. The water is tap water, but it tastes fine and you can drink it. There is no need to bring your own water to the resort or pay for bottled water on property. 3) We used the private transport offered from the airport to the resort. We are glad we did as walking/biking on the side of the mountain roads is common and especially at night it’s hard to see walkers. In addition, there are several one lane bridges that the locals definitely knew there way around better than we would have. They offer you water or beer and depending on the driver will stop halfway into the drive for a stretch and restroom break. 4) There is a lot to do on the property. Everyone is different, but find a balance between activities on and off the property. We planned everything off property not realizing that there were several informational “classes” you could participate in (e.g. coffee or mixology class). In addition there are a lot of daily free activities. It’s easy to get overbooked and miss out on relaxation, so plan accordingly! 5) All of the restaurants are delicious! We went in thinking that Amor Loco was going to be the “best” restaurant based on the other reviews. While it was a highlight, we ate at all the other restaurants and all were really good! We honestly did not have a bad meal onsite and enjoyed all the locations. 6) The employees really want you to have a great experience. We had one minor “complaint” and it was amazing how fast the restaurant manger apologized and adjusted to ensure our ask was accommodated. It’s rare to see this in today’s world, but did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated that our ask was immediately acknowledged and met. 7) If possible, book during the offseason. We went during the usual spring break and several employees commented that the return guests always come back during the offseason as the experience is ever better when he resort is less crowded. Honestly, I’m not sure how the experience could get better - but I will believe them!! 8) Plan to not want to leave!! Seriously, we don’t repeat locations often, as we are always on the hunt for new destinations to try. But we will be back to Nayara.

This was incredible. If you’re thinking of booking it, book it. Highly recommend the springs, it’s adults only so it’s a nice little private escape from all the families. Staff is amazing, food is fantastic, and it was the best birthday ever. It’s like the four seasons but more boutique. Marcela & Mariangel are the best ❤️

Absolutely incredible stay. The service here made this stay all we could ask for. Yes, the pools, the scenery, the views, the villas, pools, restaurants, hot springs were all unbelievable but the service was unbeatable. Fernando( I apologize if this is slightly wrong name).. was top of everything. My wife did not feel well and he coordinated everything and got her medicine immediately. He also checked us in, provided detailed and clear answers and he was the best. Amor Loco is where my wife started feeling ill and Robin, our server, helped us get back home and asked about what he could do to help. They both made this so much easier for the both of us and I appreciate them as feeling sick on a trip is never fun. (The sickness was not food or stay related). Other than that, we spent several days at our favorite pool Cielito Lindo where Sharon, Juan Carlos, Audrey and Luis were our favorite. They were fun, quick to serve, and always accommodating. Their service is why we came back to the pool so many times. Every restaurant on the property was fantastic food and had great service. We definitely will be back!!

Nayara Springs is the Adults Only section of the Nayara Resorts near Fortuna and Volcano Arenal. It is expensive, yes, but it is also really outstanding! Beautiful and well- maintained premises with an abundance of wildlife (we went on an 'inhouse-hike' with a resident naturalist and spoted two sloths, various beautiful birds and a huge Iguana in just 30min!), supercool villas (except for the pool which was superhot and could not be used our whole stay despite our complaint during the first hour after checking in...), great, helpful and very attentive staff and two very, very good restaurants - Amor Loco (NOT to be missed!) and Asia Luna. Service is flawless, efficient, and delivered in an outstandingly friendly way. By far the best hotel we visited in Costa Rica, No complaints, simply Pura Vida!

We had a phenomenal family visit to Nayara last week to celebrate my husband’s 50th. My husband and I stayed in a villa in Nayara Springs and our two teenage sons were nearby in a villa in Nayara Gardens. This arrangement was not our first choice, but was based on availability but we liked it so much we would do it again! To say the resort is beautiful is an understatement. The resort is other-worldly and the Arenal region itself is just magical. It is a natural treasure! The morning yoga in the yoga pavilion is not to be missed, simply to soak up the atmosphere, if nothing else. We loved the restaurants- the Mediterranean one, the romantic one, and Terraza. The food and service were sublime. We are dreaming about our next trip to Nayara already!

Nayara Springs is most definitely paradise, but it comes at a price. I drop one star given just how expensive this place is, which we knew going in of course but also means I look extra hard at the resort as well. This was almost perfect but has some minor drawbacks that I’ll expand on below. First, the wonderful: the rooms are out of this world. Gorgeous in and out with an amazing hot tub (see below though on temperature). The bathroom is absolutely amazing and the outdoor shower was perfection. We had twice daily cleaning service including night turndown with a treat (which they made sure accommodated a food allergy I have). They provide snacks, pelligrino, Diet Coke, fruit juice, beer, milk and coffee in the room for free. The pools are nice and warm and service friendly and warm (as you’ll find throughout Costa Rica). Second, the “things to know” before coming: this is a very, very steep resort. Yes, they offer golf carts wherever you want to go, but we make it a point to walk most places as a way to stay fit. But the hills on site are intense. The water in the hot spring tub is very, very hot and refills constantly. It was too hot to spend even a minute in without feeling like we were boiling. We asked the front desk if it could be cooled and they shut off the refresh pipes which got the temperature down. Once they did that, the tub was wonderful. Meals other than breakfast are not included nor are drinks (we knew this going in of course, but important to note). We’re very moderate drinkers (2 drinks a day at most but also a coffee or two) and spent ~$100 each per night on food and drink at the resort. We also did most of our lunches off site. We also did not book our excursions through Nayara as they were much cheaper through the tour provider including transport. Reception was good at assisting with getting to those transports however. Finally, note this is a big resort especially when counting the other two properties which you have free rein of. If that’s your thing, you’ll love it, but you’ll definitely be around a lot of other folks. My husband also complained that the mattress felt like it needed to be rotated. So there’s that too. All in all we enjoyed our time at Nayara and

Dear Dtc, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback about your stay at Nayara Springs. We are thrilled to hear that you found our resort to be a paradise and that you enjoyed the amenities, the rooms, and the service provided by our team. Our goal is always to ensure that every guest's stay is nothing short of spectacular, and we're glad to see that we succeeded in many aspects. Regarding the cost of some of our services, we would like to provide some context. Over the last 18 months, Costa Rica has experienced a significant devaluation of the dollar by almost 30%, a situation unprecedented in its history. This devaluation has had a ripple effect across the economy, impacting the costs of services and goods, including those necessary to maintain the high standards of hospitality at Nayara. As a result, we have had to adjust our prices to reflect these changes, operating our restaurants at a break-even point to avoid financial losses. This decision was not made lightly, and we assure you that we are constantly looking for ways to optimize our operations to offer the best value to our guests without compromising on quality. We are hoping that the economic situation will improve, easing the pressures on both our guests and the industry at large. Please know that we are closely monitoring these developments and will adjust our pricing strategy as soon as circumstances allow. Thank you again for choosing Nayara Springs and for taking the time to share your experience. We wish you all the best and look forward to the possibility of serving you again in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night/four day stay at Nayara Springs. Wished we had another day. Our Villa was perfect for the environment and everything it was advertised to be. Every staff person was highly responsive and accommodating. We were celebrating our anniversary and were completely surprised by a bed of roses, champagne and romantic decorations when we returned to our room that evening. Special mention to: Erick our host, whose efforts assured a memorable Nayara experience. Pablo and his coffee class that will most likely change how you purchase and drink your morning coffee. José and Gregory at the wine bar. Their knowledge of ‘everything wine’ was complimented by an impressive inventory of wines. Michael, a true professional who (with Chef René) served our amazing, private anniversary dinner. A top shelf experience! Jake, who found a sloth and then escorted us to view and take pictures. And the staff person who drove us to several areas that last evening to view the incredible variety of frogs.
