Nayara Springs was one of the most gorgeous places we've stayed in Costa Rica, it was truly breathtaking with the amazing villas carved right into the jungle at the base of the volcano. The villas are spectacular and super clean and comfortable, the private porch and hot spring, as well as the outdoor shower, was insane and it was awesome waking up to the sounds of the jungle and howler monkeys right outside your door. The staff were all super friendly and helpful and made us feel welcomed. That being said, be advised that it is not a place to stay if you're looking for any excitement within the resort itself. Every amenity closes extremely early and the pool bar refuses to play any music over the volume of a whisper, even when there are no other guests around making it a very sleepy vibe constantly. We were also extremely disappointed with the fact that the entire time we were there we had to deal with constant and very loud construction noises, which negated the whole point of paying such high prices to stay in a quiet and tranquil resort where you can enjoy the scenery and nature. Every morning during what was supposed to be an enjoyable and relaxing breakfast overlooking the volcano we were assaulted with constant sounds of circular saws and hammering which is so ridiculous. In addition to multiple ruined breakfasts, we attempted to escape to the supposedly peaceful and tranquil on site hot springs and also found that area to be an active construction zone with saws, trees being cut down, and constant construction machinery and trucks ruining any chance of enjoying the beautiful springs. So disappointing to have to experience. While we understand construction is inevitably sometimes, the frequency, volume, and duration of such literally ruined our stay and was not disclosed prior and the room rates or offered amenities certainly did not reflect these circumstances they knew they were subjecting their guests to. Beautiful resort, but be warned you may end up unwittingly staying in an active construction zone.

Dear ADap1989, Thank you for taking the time to share your review of our resort. We loved reading your beautiful descriptions of our property and especially appreciate your kind comments regarding our wonderful team. We want to apologize for your concerns with the noise. While there is no construction going on at Nayara Springs, we occasionally hear noise from projects in the area. All projects are scheduled to be completed in June and we have done everything possible to minimize the disruption to our guests. We are sorry this impacted the ambiance of your stay. Pura Vida! I echo several reviews regarding the perfection, serenity and pure tranquil nature of the establishment of Nayara. From the beginning you are emersed into an experience like nothing I have seen. You completely forget about the outside world and are completely made to feel welcomed and attended to by every member of staff we encountered. Springs is an adult only venue, meaning no-one under the age of 16 will be on site. This might not be completely accurate as the yoga and gym are situated in the adult area and of course sometimes the young ones might want to take part! However, the running into other guests is rare due to the pathway nature of the resort. You may encounter a few guests on bridges and of course in the many excellent dining facilities, but the entire complex is build for isolation and contemplation at all times. We experienced breakfast in two locations, and as a guess of the springs, you are able to book into any of the sites facilities, which expands the restaurants to a wide selection of tastes and experiences. La Terreza holds a buffet style experience, where cooked egg meals are made to order, we found the selection to be large, and suitable for those who want to eat more of one thing as opposed to another. The Italian style restaurant was more to our liking with a table service experience and an attentive service which left us with no need but eat until it was time for dinner! In the evenings some restaurants do fill up and reservations are essential. The Asia Luna being one of them, but the experience was exceptional. We did not experience the tapas bar, but we heard no poor reviews of any dining experiences whilst there, and as a fussy eater myself I found the meals to be stunning and fulfilling. The site is located on a hill. In the humidity any elevation will be difficult for anyone not used to it. Regardless of your ability and age, the transportation service is there for a reason, so use it. It is another way to interact with the amazing staff who will show genuine attention and appreciation you are there. Viewing the wildlife was excellent. Within our first day we had seen sloths, monkeys, wild birds, frogs. Make sure you try out the various walks available, they are good experiences, and something was growing or changed daily. If you are curious about any of the horticulture, then simply ask. The entire complex and staff would be delighted to share their details on how they have looked after the area to make it what it now is. A shout to some specific staff who were memorable to me during the time. On the front desk - two hosts, Erick and Kenner, who in my opinion could teach customer excellence to others without a doubt. I also found their humour very endearing, which is precisely the humanist approach needed in the modern age. In the restaurant area, Ana was particularly attentive, genuinely friendly and happy to assist in any matters during breakfast or dinner. Similarly a particular 'individual' must be praised, Roberto. He is most definitely a character, helping us to learn Spanish at any given opportunity. I must say however, when alcohol takes over with guests, everything sounds the same! God loves a trier, Don't stop! Finally, I'm going to mention someone who really stood out to me. Jairo. A caretaker. Whilst contemplating in the public spa area, he took time to stay out of view and got about his work of cleaning the area. I promoted a conversation with him that shoed perhaps guests might not speak to him much, I was glad I did. Lovely guy. He was genuinely loved the location, the work, the people and the experience. I hope that he goes far in the Nayara experience. This is what it should be about, not just the opulence but also being able to meet others who make an impact on you personally. I don't know why, but it is a face and warm character that I will hold as a lasting memory of kindness. Pura Vida and be well in the land that is wet, or more wet... it is a rainforest after all!

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Nayara Springs and have only amazing things to say about our experience there. Every single staff person - and we probably encountered 50 or more of them - was welcoming, warm, and helpful. The hotel is luxurious, but also feels like home. The room was beautiful, and included outdoor showers and a patio with a private hot spring that looked into the rainforest. It felt like we were living in the Calm app. Every morning there was a yoga class outside and it was the perfect way to start the day. Excursions were incredibly easy to coordinate through the hotel, including zip lining, ATV riding, coffee and chocolate tours, and experiences at La Fortuna. All of the restaurants ranged from very good to fantastic. Our favorites were Amor Loco and La Terraza Del Arenal. I’ll lastly add that I personally have a lot of reservations about splurging on hotels. I’m the type of person who says “I just need a place to sleep”, and wants to experience the destination I’m in. This was well worth it if you can afford it! It was a memorable experience that I can’t recommend enough. Pura vida!

Nayara Springs will be the most amazing place you have ever visited! My husband and I spent a week at Nayara for our honeymoon and we were beyond impressed! The service was next level and each member of the staff strives to make sure you are enjoying yourself and being taken care of. We were waited on hand and foot from the moment we arrived. The restaurants were INCREDIBLE, each meal we had was wonderful and the breakfast that was included in our stay was delicious! We could pick from room service, a la carte restaurant or breakfast buffet and each was delicious and included with our room. We tried Asian Luna, La Terraza, and Amor Loco for dinner and each had delicious menus and great service! The views from our breakfast table were unbeatable! (see attached photo) Our room was beautiful with its own private hot spring and there is so much attention to detail everywhere. We were shown sloths and frogs all within a few steps of our room. You can use the Nayara Gardens and Tented Camp amenities as well and all were equally impressive. There are many small, private hot spring pools you can find around the resort for a more intimate experience and there are also nonheated pools with loungers and swim up bars. The grounds and pools were very well maintained and the spa visit we had was the most relaxing and romantic experience ever! I cannot recommend Nayara Springs enough. If you stay, you will not be disappointed!

Wonderful place to relax and enjoy beautiful scenery. Amazing food and beverages but not authentic Costa Rican if you want a more non-tourist experience. It is wonderful for just a couples or with the family.

11/10 experience - over the top. From the moment of arrival, every detail was paid attention to. The staff is not only friendly, they are happy and helpful. The team at Nayara provided us with some of the best hospitality we have had in years and exceeded our expectations overall. The rooms were well designed, clean, comfortable and fun. We loved the plunge pool and the outdoor showers. The maid service and turndown service was helpful and accommodating, if we needed more time, they smiled and made it happen each time. If we needed a restock of beverages in the fridge they helped each time. The service was fantastic, Walter at the front desk was extremely accommodating as well as Maria. We wanted to make changes to our dinner plans, activity plans, and did often with no problems - they simply made it happen. So accommodating! As for the driving services, all of the golf cart team members were professional, timely, hospitable, friendly and made sure we had everything needed to get to where we wanted to go. Dixon took great care of us while we were there and helped us navigate around the property like a pro. Each time he asked how our stay was and if we needed anything to make it better. The food and beverage experience was fantastic as well! We are at all of the restaurants on premise and they were all different experiences and unique in their own rights. The food was delightful, the drinks were inspired. I ordered a cocktail at Amore Loco and loved it and the next day Jodie the bartender had the recipe slipped under our door! The pasta made table side at Mis Amore was amazing. Our favorite restaurant experience was the wine bar Nostalgia. Jose took exceptional care of us, from amazing wine suggestions to food recommendations. We even asked for a special dish off of the wine pairings dinner and he accommodated. Special shout out to Jose, above and beyond service and it will definitely be remembered!! Overall, we are well traveled people and this is the best hotel overall we have ever stayed at (Ritz Carlton has nothing on this place). Thank you to the Nayara team for a memorable anniversary get away, we will be back!!!!!!

Absolutely perfect from start to finish. It’s very tempting to finish our review here; however, that would be unfair on Nayara Springs. From our arrival to our departure, our stay was absolutely stunning. The staff, the food, the activities and the property itself were brilliant. This is a beautiful place to stay and if Costa Rica is on your bucket list, then make sure Nayara Springs is included. Our villa was huge and had its very own plunge pool. Every meal we had was just lovely; however, we saved the best to last - Asia Luna - absolutely beautiful food!! A huge shout out to all the staff who without fail made our stay a memorable one. And whilst it would be unfair to single out specific team members, we would be remiss in not mentioning Andrey and Mariela who were fantastic guides on our activities, German and Gabriel who assisted me so much with the booking and my numerous questions and queries and Kembly who at the very last minute assisted us with transfers from SO airport and then again to our next resort in Manuel Antonio. We have stayed in numerous high end resorts around the world and NS is at the very top of the list.
