Our 35 villas are 1,500 square feet of pure luxury, romance, and privacy. These villas offer the ultimate experience with a private plunge pool fed by water directly from the volcano which is some of the purest in the world. The room includes complimentary breakfast, minibar, laundry, daily yoga classes, and your very own personal host! Nayara Springs is an adult-only luxurious property with many unique and exclusive features. The hotel has two savory restaurants; Amor Loco and Mis Amores. In Amor Loco guests can enjoy gourmet cuisine while sitting by the pool or dining inside with live music seven nights a week. Mis Amores is our casual Italian fare restaurant with a beautiful direct view of the Volcano which is also connected to our new swim-up pool bar Cielito Lindo. Nayara Springs also has its own coffee bar; the coffee is a Nayara Signature that can only be found on the property. Guests can also enjoy our open-air yoga pavilion or work on their fitness at our new state-of-the-art-gym. Nayara Springs is connected by two footbridges perched 150 feet high, above the rainforest canopy to our sister property Nayara Gardens.

We stayed at Nayara for our honeymoon last month and it was truly the most incredible experience! Everything about the resort is perfect - from the genuinely kind/helpful staff, spacious villas, experience options, food/drink quality, and overall just beautiful vibes this is the place to go for your honeymoon or any future trips!! My husband and I loved our experience at Nayara Springs! All the other reviews are correct; the experience in person is better than just reading the reviews or seeing the pictures online. The employees, villa, food, excursions, etc. really make this location special! A few things that the reviews didn’t tell us prior to our trip that I wish we would have known. 1) You do not need to transfer from USD to Colon. USD is accepted and appreciated for tips both on the resort and off. But do definitively tip, as everyone does go above and beyond to ensure your needs are met! 2) You can drink the water! The resort does refill several water containers twice per day in your villa. The water is tap water, but it tastes fine and you can drink it. There is no need to bring your own water to the resort or pay for bottled water on property. 3) We used the private transport offered from the airport to the resort. We are glad we did as walking/biking on the side of the mountain roads is common and especially at night it’s hard to see walkers. In addition, there are several one lane bridges that the locals definitely knew there way around better than we would have. They offer you water or beer and depending on the driver will stop halfway into the drive for a stretch and restroom break. 4) There is a lot to do on the property. Everyone is different, but find a balance between activities on and off the property. We planned everything off property not realizing that there were several informational “classes” you could participate in (e.g. coffee or mixology class). In addition there are a lot of daily free activities. It’s easy to get overbooked and miss out on relaxation, so plan accordingly! 5) All of the restaurants are delicious! We went in thinking that Amor Loco was going to be the “best” restaurant based on the other reviews. While it was a highlight, we ate at all the other restaurants and all were really good! We honestly did not have a bad meal onsite and enjoyed all the locations. 6) The employees really want you to have a great experience. We had one minor “complaint” and it was amazing how fast the restaurant manger apologized and adjusted to ensure our ask was accommodated. It’s rare to see this in today’s world, but did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated that our ask was immediately acknowledged and met. 7) If possible, book during the offseason. We went during the usual spring break and several employees commented that the return guests always come back during the offseason as the experience is ever better when he resort is less crowded. Honestly, I’m not sure how the experience could get better - but I will believe them!! 8) Plan to not want to leave!! Seriously, we don’t repeat locations often, as we are always on the hunt for new destinations to try. But we will be back to Nayara.…

Everything exceeded our expectations, and everyone on site went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The excursions we booked through them were wonderful, and the guides knowledgeable. Dinner @ Amor Loco was a highlight, but we enjoyed all the restaurants. Appreciated that each of the pool bars had different menus. Loved staying @ the adult only property, with the option to go to the other properties. We were in one of the lower villas, which was very convenient to the pool, but the upper villas are more private. The wildlife onsite is outstanding- sloths, monkeys, frogs, and so many types of bird- bring binoculars! The rainforest massage is not to be missed- absolutely unforgettable. Will return in the future.

Our honeymoon experience was incredible! Everyone was kind, helpful, and professional. When we arrived they had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting on us in our room. We stayed in the Springs location. Our villa was so spacious! The bed was firm, so comfy, and they kept our fridge stocked with coffee and snacks constantly. With our own private hotspring pool, we were able to relax every night privately the right way. We visited the swim up bar almost daily, you have to try their calamari! The grounds were so beautiful and kept immaculately clean. If we wanted to go on an excursion or into town, the front desk set everything up including our transportation right there. We can not wait to go back, next time we want to stay in the tented camps with our families.

Nayara provides the best service for their customers. From receptionist, house keeping to the golf cart drivers. Everybody at the resort was trained well to give the best customer service. The resort is beautiful surrounded by rain forest. Listening to howler monkey at early morning and birds was nice. We saw wild animals in our nature walk provided by the resort inclusing tucan and sloths.

Stayed 5 nights for our 9- year wedding anniversary. Our stay was outstanding. Villa was extremely clean, spacious, and we loved the showers (indoor and outdoor), complimentary Costa Rican snacks, and our thermal pool. Property grounds were beautiful. Staff were friendly, professional, and anticipated our needs. Room service for breakfast and dinner was delicious. Dining at on-site restaurant was excellent. Complimentary laundry service was great. We loved exploring the entire property on foot to get our exercise, although cart service was always available too. Enjoyed the complimentary yoga. Loved the naturalist (Christian) guided early morning walks. We also appreciated the valet parking for our rental car of 2 days. We flew in and out of San José, and the Nayara private transportation to and from airport was outstanding, with friendly safe drivers, and complimentary water and snacks. Gorgeous, gorgeous property. We had a wonderful time here, lounging at the pool and in our room, taking advantage of a few tours and enjoying meals. It was almost exactly what we needed to relax. What kept it from being perfect were a few service issues that you would not expect with a hotel known as being the best in the area. First, we had a room with a hot springs pool outside. It was hot when we first arrived, but they either turn it off or it turns off automatically because every time we wanted to use it, the water was lukewarm or cold and somebody had to come turn on the water so it heated. It was frustrating to have such a beautiful pool and not be able to use it whenever we felt like it. The second was that I really wanted to try the guanabana fruit, which friends had told us were wonderful. We were delighted to see fruit in the room, but there was no guanabana, so we asked the front desk if they could arrange to have some delivered. They told us they would look into it and then they couldn't do it because "it was not available." It turned out not to be true because the Nayara Gardens property served it for breakfast the next morning. It felt to us like nobody bothered to look into it. (Realize this is a small problem, but we've stayed in hotels like this before and it's one of the ways that great hotels with really superior service differentiate themselves). A couple other things to note about the resort: - Great place if your goal is to relax and take advantage of their programming. However, if you want to venture out into the town of Fortuna or other areas, it's not so easy if you don't already have a car. - The resort is built on a hill onto slopes. They have golf cart rides available, and if you have mobility issues, you should expect to need to take advantage, sometimes possibly even going a few feet away. …
