This place was absolutely magical! Had such a wonderful experience. The staff, views, and food were amazing! The private pool was also a huge plus- great for couples who want to just get away and reconnect! Cannot recommend enough!
Everything about staying here was magical. The room, the animals, the service, the staff. Nothing could have been more perfect. The food was fabulous. We saw frogs, sloths, lizards, birds, and monkeys on property. The room was truly beautiful, with a plunge hot spring pool and an outdoor shower! The staff made everything special from prepping our room for bedtime to making birthday decorations! This was my favorite hotel experience I’ve ever had.
My husband planned my 50th birthday at Nayara Springs and it was a once in a life time experience. The resort was breathtaking, the food was delicious, and the people were very loving. I highly recommend this to everyone celebrating anything.
Best hotel we’ve ever stayed at! The amenities were amazing but what really puts it over the top is the customer service and friendliness of the staff. Every day they went above and beyond to make us feel like we were the most important guests there. The on-site food was great and all fairly close to our villa. The turndown service was amazing too! Sharon, our personal host, decorated our room with flowers, champagne and balloons for my wife’s birthday and our anniversary. Thanks again to Sharon and the rest of the amazing staff at Nayara Springs, and we can’t wait to go back!
Unforgettable second honeymoon. Extraordinary Service. Wonderful excursions. Beautiful hotel with tropical plants, animals and beauty within the setting of the rain forest. Would recommend to anyone wanting adventure or seeing animals in their natural habitat. A must see!
Incredible property with beautiful villas, wonderful food and lovely staff. We spent a long weekend at the property for our anniversary and we’re taken care of amazingly. We will absolutely be returning to the property. Communication ahead of time via email was spectacular and prompt making planning a breeze.
my husband and I stayed at Nayara Springs for 9 days. Drive from San Jose airport to Nayara springs was a bit rough (2.5-3 hours of windy road driving). When we arrived, we got warm welcome from front desk staff. Walter welcomed us, provided information regarding the resort, and welcome drink. When we arrived to our room, it was decorated with balloons and rose petals for our honeymoon/one year anniversary celebration. Throughout our stay, we did zip lining, horseback riding, coffee and chocolate tour, 7 course wine pairing at Nostalgia bar (HIGHLY recommend. We had Leo(?) and he had such a great knowledge about wines and pairings), cooking class at La Terreza, romantic private dinner, and 2 couples massages (we had Sol and Pamela as our massage therapists and had to request for them again for our second massage because they were so great!) we had so much fun with all the tours. I recommend starting your day early because it will start raining hard from afternoon to night. They provide free yoga in the morning at 8:15 and that was also great. One improvement would be food/restaurant option. They have about 5-6 places you can dine/eat but it feels like restaurants can repeat some foods (don’t get me wrong, foods were fantastic except Asia Luna). We tried Asia Luna and we noticed rolls had too much rice and used sesame oil in the fresh fish/rolls to give flavors where sesame oil overpowered flavors. We tried all the restaurants, and we loved Amor Loco and Kali Kali bar foods. Overall, highly recommend this place for relaxation vacation, honeymoon, or any special trip! Special big kudos to Walter from front desk, Sol and Pamela from spa, Leo from Nostalgia, Alexis from La Terraza, Anna from Romantic Dinner.…
This was our first time in Costa Rica and Nayara Springs far exceeded our expectations. The service and hospitality was top notch and everyone went out of their way to make the trip special. I was celebrating my birthday and was surprised to see our Villa decorated with balloons and sparkling wine. Everything about the Villa was luxurious. We spent a majority of our time relaxing in our private hot spring plunge pool. There was so much impressive wild life that we didn’t need to leave the resort. Just steps from our Villa we found a sloth, monkeys, poison dart frog, red eyed tree frog, and many more frogs and birds. My one critique for improvement was the food. There were plenty of dining options but, with the exception of the Asian inspired restaurant and the wine bar, there could be more attention to the food. Some of the menus felt repetitive and bland. Other than that, this place was pretty close to perfection.…
So full disclosure, my wife found this resort in a magazine at the doctors office and sent me a pic and said, “lets go there.” After looking at the pictures I figured it was out of our price range. I was wrong, and boy I’ve never been so happy to be wrong! The Nayara Springs Resort in La Fortuna, Costa Rica is my very favorite hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed at some of the nicest resorts in North America and the Caribbean. On this trip, we opted for 3 nights in Nayara and 4 nights at the beach in Playa Conchal. At Nayara we discovered resort with 35 Springs villas, all the same set in Rain Forest at the foot of Arenal Volcano. All of the villas have their own completely private plunge pools with warm spring fed water. These rooms with the patio bed, pool and hammock are designed for relaxing or something...... The massive bathroom with dual showers both inside and outside are amazing. The pictures online do not do these villas justice. The cost is worth every penny. The 2.5 hr drive from the Liberia Airport is not as bad as we expected. We opted for a rental car in-place of the advertised shuttles. We got a deal through National, 335/week including the extra insurance for a small 4x4. . At $225/each way for the shuttles to La Fortuna from Liberia it made for an easy decision. The road is good minus about 5km on the west end of Lake Arenal that is just packed down gravel but it goes quick. There is about 46km of very curvy roads on the north side of the lake. I would recommend an SUV with some power, it makes the roads easier. We arrived at 1pm, made it through immigration and were on the road to Nayara by 2. We were in our plunge pool by 5. Valet Parking was included at Nayara. The car also came in-handy so we could explore La Fortuna. There are several stores in town we visited and also made a trip to Pali to get some snacks. We also visited the Waterfall on our own which was only $18/per person. Way cheaper than the “guided tours” several tour companies offer. Be prepared though, the 500 steps is legit. The view at the bottom is amazing. The entire complex at Nayara is very special. You can find Iguanas, Sloths, Koati, The staff was very welcoming and the service was on a different level than most. The workers drive shuttles around the resort, even in the rain they are just a call away and they’ll shuttle you straight to a restaurant or where-ever you are going. The restaurants were all excellent. We opted for breakfast in our suite two mornings and one morning the buffet at the Gardens side. All three resorts, Gardens, Springs, and Tents share restaurants and with exception of children, you can eat at any of them. We especially liked the brick oven pizzas served poolside. Musts: bug spray, good walking shoes because the entire resorts built on the side of a mtn, rain jacket, money for tipping, In short, if you want an incredibly beautiful resort with exquisite suites with private plunge pools all for under $800/ night, this is the place for you. I’ve done Four Seasons, Ritz and Waldorfs all in exotic locals. Top to bottom, they don’t compare to Nayara. My only change, I’m opting for the Tented Camps next summer when we return. Not because we don’t like the Springs, we’re just opting for the top of the mountain next time. Do yourself a favor, come to Nayara! We are already scheduled to return next summer and we cannot wait to come back. We’re going to ask for one of the villas a little bit higher up. Thank You Nayara!…
From the moment we arrived, our experience was magical. From the plunge pool to the dining experiences everything was amazing. Take all the little classes they offer.. Mixology, coffee, cooking.. They are super fun and very informative. Keep an eye out for sloths, toucans, howler monkeys and don't forget the frogs. Kervin is excellent at finding frogs. Request a tour from him.
