Such a pleasant resort, particularly for the price. Comfortable, clean rooms (ours had a sitting patio that looked right onto the volcano), stunning grounds -- flowers everywhere, butterflies and hummingbirds. Staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful, always willing to help with requests at any hour. Feels very secluded, in a nice way. Restaurant was a plus; it's good to have...

I stayed at the Volcano Lodge & Gardens last week and found that the reviews I read before going were very accurate. The hotel and gardens were stunning, there is a really nice pathway that goes around the grounds. The pools and hot tubs were wonderful! It is $10 to take a cab into town, which made me feel a...

Very peaceful and private - nice garden - lovely room and view - great pool with view of Volcan Arenal - nice restaurant about $12 for burger and fries there - only problem was that it was too far away from La Fortuna for us to walk around and to get there you had to get a taxi $10 each...

The Volcano Lodge is a beautiful hotel surrounded by lush gardens. On a clear day, you can see Arenal Volcano from most of the property. The rooms and bathrooms were surprisingly spacious and clean. Upon arriving we were able to spot a small group of Toucans flying overhead. If you look, you can see wildlife on and near the hotel...

This was the nicest of the places we stayed on our trip to Costa Rica. We spent the first two nights in town, at the Hotel San Bosco, which coincidentally turned out to be owned by the same company as this one. That made it easy for us to get a ride to the lodge when we checked out. It's...

My husband and I stayed for two nights after taking the public bus from San Ramon to Fortuna. We were pleasantly surprised by the nice room and beautiful grounds since we paid around $70 per night for our room. The pool and hot tub are very nice, and the food in the restaurant is good. We would stay here again.

The property was gorgeous and the breakfast was great! The rooms were ok they can remodel and make them a little more modern. I liked that we were close to Fortuna and mineral springs. I would recommend it to friends and family.

My daughter and I stayed her for two nights as part of a private tour and this was our last place before heading back to the states. The front desk staff was friendly and after checking in we were immediately driven to our room by the staff. (We also thought the wrist bands were strange to have on through out...

This guest lodge is in a prime location to see the volcano (when it isn't cloudy) and the grounds are simply beautiful and well kept. The gardens fairly large, and there are multiple paths to explore around the property, getting you glimpses of different odd and intriguing plants, insects, and even some birds. This is all without having to leave...

My friend and I stayed for 3 nights in July and booked through Latin Destinations. The hotel staff was helpful and nice, the rooms and property were clean, the shuttle service to activities was great, it was a close taxi ride to downtown, and they were able to book many types of excursions right at the front desk. The food...
