This was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in Costa Rica. I would recommend it to anyone. The rooms were clean and quiet. Friendly staff. Beautiful hot springs. The perfect getaway. It is also perfectly situated to all the activities in the Arenal Area.

The pool areas will please everyone. The hot springs are nice and it's super nice they have a swim up bar in the hot springs. Happy hour is weak compared to other hotels in the area - very limited, in my opinion. The layout was nice and the lighting in the hot spring area is really neat. We did not...

We stayed at the Volcano Lodge for 3 days and we definitely enjoyed it. The hot springs were nice and relaxing. We had a pretty booked schedule while we were in this location but one night we decided to cancel a tour and just sit at the wet bar in hot sprigs and we weren't disappointed. Kirby, the bartender at...

Nice room with a view to the volcano. Be aware that the city is 7 km away and it is quite expensive to take the hotel shuttle. We found it difficult to go anywhere by foot. The hotel is very nice, great breakfast and very nice pool area with an amazing spa. The service was very good - we had...

Wonderful resort. We paid more for junior suite with a private waterfall pool. Room was large with wonderful shower with plentiful hot water . Pool area was fabulous with swim up pool and great happy hour. Warm water all around with plenty of room. Buffet breakfast was fine. Not great with attentive staff. The only negative was the check in....

I did a LOT of research in looking for a good resort to start off our trip to Costa Rica, and am so glad I found Volcano Lodge and Springs. It's very reasonably priced and the amenities are great. Breakfast is delicious and the restaurant has great food too. My husband and I had the ahi tuna and beef medallions...

Our biggest disappointment was the fact that we didn't see the volcano once during our three days there! Of course, the hotel has no control over the weather, so I don't blame them at all. However, I wish I knew while planning our trip how going in "dry season" is no guarantee the weather will be clear enough to see...

A very professionally run, accommodating and comfortable place to stay. Our room was huge and beautifully decorated, with a great garden view . . . the springs on the grounds were quite delightful, as was the restaurant, the spa, and all the staff. We were very pleasantly surprised by the value for the price.

This place was fantastic! The rooms were clean and large. They all had views of the beautiful grounds and it seemed like most had a view of the volcano on a clear day. There were so many fascinating tropical birds on the property. My family enjoyed watching them at breakfast everyday. The management seems to have an eye toward conservation....
