We really enjoyed our time here. We loved that there was security and a gate to get inside ( we felt safe). It was very beautiful! The hot springs were wonderful. It wasn’t crowded at all when we went so we never had to wait for our turn with the hot springs. The food was amazing. The dinner was so nice ( steak and the chicken cordon blue we highly recommend)! The breakfast buffet was my favorite! The staff is so kind and helpful! The drinks were very tasty! Everything was exceptionally clean. The rooms were very simple but nice.

The hotel is very nice, nice staff, nice pool and nice thermal pools, the outside is very well kept, nice to walk around. Rooms are very basic, an upgrade will do wonders., beds are comfortable. Location is very good, close to town with many restaurants. For the price its very good, if you dont want to spend tons on hotels, this is perfect, great value.

This hotel has a great location close to the Arenal Volcano and Tabacón Thermal Waters. Somewhat distant from town and restaurants if you don’t have transportation. We had a rental car, so for us this was not a problem. Grounds are beautiful and rooms are clean, however, they are due for a needed update! The staff has taken care of the rooms by keeping them clean, but they are dated and sometimes this makes it feel like it is not clean, even though it is. The hotel was a great value, and it is very safe. The hotel has its own thermal pools. They need a deep cleaning. The regular pool was super clean and inviting. The restaurant staff is great, but they dint go around the pool offering drinks. I could have purchased more drinks if asked. But did not feel like putting up a mask to go to the bar and ask for drinks. Breakfast was super! Overall, great stay!

Rooms were basic but clean. Lovely grounds with some trails to spot wildlife. Great view of Arenal volcano from the main common area and restaurant. Multiple different pool, thermal spring areas, and sauna. Solid breakfast buffet in the morning. 2 for 1 happy hour at the poolside bar. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Volcano Lodge last week with our teenage children. We all enjoyed the hot springs, especially at night when they're lit up. It's a good central location, close to the town of La Fortuna and close to all activities on/near the Arenal Volcano. The rooms were clean, the restaurant was very good, the staff was very friendly and helpful. A great way to start our vacation in Costa Rica. I would rate this 4.5 if I were able and only downgrade from a 5 because the beds were very firm and they don't clean the rooms every day and my husband is messy...splashes water all over the bathroom and leaves a soapy mess so it would have been nice to have someone other than me to clean up after him each day on vacation.
