I was in room #202, with 2 double beds, no balcony, just fan, tv, free wifi and 3 computer terminals in the lobby. Very little counter space in the bathroom, and only 2 areas to put clothes or other material. Ants were prevalent and came to eat my oatmeal cookies. Good location, walking distance to the centre of town, the...

My wife and I recently stayed at Hotel La Fortuna for 3 nights. We loved the location of this hotel and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We'd definitely recommend this. The only negative we have to say about the room we stayed in on the 3rd floor was that we found a few tiny ants crawling around on...

We wanted a room that was convenient to everything, a place where we could walk around and get a feel for the area. This hotel was perfectly located for us. But the most amazing thing of all was the personnel at the reception desk. Mercedes and Manrique couldn't do enough to help us get settled, arrange for tours, taxis, etc....

We arrived on Christmas day to a warm welcome and a great volcano view room on the 5th floor, though it took a couple of days for the volcano to show herself. This is a great place to stay if you like being right in town where you can walk to shops, restaurants, and the central park. We had a...

The location was killer, right in the heart of La Fortuna town. Big rooms with large bathroom, balcony and ac. Staff were excellent and helpful, breakfast delicious and a good happy hour. I would definitely stay again.

We had a view of Arenal Volcano. Hotel is perfectly located within walking distance of the whole town. Very professional staff - friendly and helpful. Good cocktails at the bar and decent lunch food. Would recommend.

Hotel La Fortuna is centrally located, so a good place to stay if you don't have a car. Rooms were clean, with large bathrooms with lots of hot water. Friendly helpful staff. Good served-at-your-table breakfasts with eggs, toast, fruit, orange juice, and coffee, included in the room rate. If you want hot tea, be prepared for it to be only...

So, unfortunately, when I arrived in La Fortuna it was cold and wet. Not what I was expecting at all. But the warm atmosphere and friendly staff at Hotel La Fortuna made it all worth while. I was always greeted with a smile and Mercedes and Manrique went out of their way to make sure I had a great time....

I concur with the review by “krisbsf” below. This too was my experience. I recently spent three nights at Hotel La Fortuna. I specifically chose a hotel in town because I wanted to be able to explore - walk around, shop, meet people, etc. It’s within walking distance to the town’s center and the post office, supermarket, pharmacy, and laundry...
