The property is quite lovely and probably really nice when you can see the volcano. Unfortunately while we were there it was cloudy the entire time so we could never see it. The restaurant is only average to slightly above average but pricey for what you get. Staff are pleasant and very attentive. There was fresh fruit every morning for...

I felt that this resort excelled at certain things and failed at others. It is a beautiful property though it is situated about a $10-$12 taxi ride from downtown La Fortuna. Here are the pros/cons from our stay: Pros: -Awesome buffet breakfast (the best I had in all of Costa Rica) -Excellent quality food at the restaurant (though a little...

What a cute little hotel. Very private rooms and the view were spectacular. Greats: -The hot springs that run all the way through the hotel. There are a number of different pools you can go into and they differ in heat. Very private and very fun. -The rustic jungle feel of the surrounding area. Frogs everywhere at night. Beautiful noises...

We stayed here for three days from December 24th to December 27th. The employees were very helpful and kind, the property is beautiful but it was not near anything. If you do not have a car you are a bit limited for meal options. The restaurant was okay but we had a buffet on Christmas eve that was not great...

This resort has many small cabins spread throughout their landscaped property. The cabins are pretty simple; they do not seal well from the great outdoors so bugs and even geckos get in your room (and those geckos can chirp so loudly they can wake you up at night!). The cabins do however have nice porches with views of the volcano....

First, the hot springs, the volcano view (clouded volcano, that is), and the rooms get five stars. The springs are private and well landscaped with waterfalls creating a noise barrier between each one. Although the hotel was at ninety percent capacity, we always had a private pool. The rooms are huge, but the kitchen very poorly stocked and cooking not...

My husband and I stayed here for one night and had a great time! Unfortunately we did not see the volcano due to fog (has anyone actually seen this volcano?!), but we still had a great time at Arenal Paraiso. The hot springs were wonderful, and it was so nice to just walk to them from the room. We also...

The hotel is nice with a lot of outdoor areas to sit down, relax and enjoy. The Volcano views from the cabin's porches are great, you can sit down there, relax and read a book while enjoying the views of the green areas, and the clouds on top of the volcano (we never saw the top, it was always clouded)....

My favorite part of the whole hotel is the hot springs. The hot springs went from hot tube hot to cool. There were about 15 different hot springs and I would say 3 waterfalls.
