This hotel has an excellent location to see the volcano, as long as it isn't shrounded in clouds. A short drive from the hot springs and the hanging bridges. Individual cabins which have everything you need. Nice dining facilities and pools. Very friendly staff.

Hotel was decent, Great view of the volcano. Honestly any where in Fortuna will give you a good view of the vocano. Our room was a shared lodge. we can hear our neighbors. Beds were springy and uncomfortable. Amentites were so/so. Hot springs not so hot. Jacuzzi was broken and Sauna was an extra fee. Breakfast Buffet was good. Coffee...

My wife and I spent three nights at Arenal Paraiso. It is the second time we have stayed there, the last time being in 2004. The grounds have become more lovely and their simple hot springs, while not over the top gorgeous and expansive like Tabacon or other more posh resorts, are beautifully landscaped and quite enjoyable. My wife and...

We stayed one night at this lodge and the rooms are separate cabin like entities which means no neighbors or strange people related sounds. Yes there is a bit of a walk between the room and other amenities such as the spa, hot tubs etc but its not a big deterrent. We actually liked the distance and the peace and...

We stayed at this hotel with a group of five. The grounds and rooms were fantastic. The food, “hot” (more like lukewarm) springs, and unfriendly/inattentive staff were a real turn off and for that reason I wouldn’t recommend this property to friends/family. There are a lot of other properties in this area that have friendly staff so there is no...

Dear rjmiller21, Thank you very much for your time and for letting us know your comments about our property. About the hot springs, we had a little issue with them, they are natural hot springs with lots of minerals and the minerals caused a small problem which was fixed in a short time, unfortunately not enough for letting you enjoy...

I had trouble making reservations to stay here-the employee could not communicate with me in English or Spanish. With the help of the desk staff at our previous lodging we thought we had a reservation, but when we arrived it was clear we were not expected. We were told that they had only "superior" rooms available. It was a very...

Loved this hotel. It exceeded our expectations. Beautiful grounds and view. Close to town. I don't understand the negative comments. The hot springs were hot. Each of the 16 was a different temperature so you could choose. Yes the water was murcky hence the "NATURAL" hot springs. Breakfast was outstanding. The only thing that needs improvement is the staff. They...

Bad experience, there are better and cheaper places around. What a big mistake!!! Hot springs water was not clear, and not even hot! They offered more than 15 pools and 2 Jacuzzi, only 11 pools were enable and none of the Jacuzzis. The spa had no experienced personal. I decided to leave the place after first night; I did checkout...

I stayed at this hotel with a friend of mine while travelling through Costa Rica. We wanted to spend a night at Arenal and do some ziplining and this was the perfect location to do both! The good: 1. The cheapest room could easily fit 4 people, a potentially great match for younger people who wish to split a room at a decent hotel. 2. The guy who worked at the tour info. desk was very helpful.3. The natural spring-fed pools were open until 10 pm. 4. They have an affiliated horse ranch across the street,...
