I booked a superior room here and was given one of the worse quality standard rooms. Others in our group who had booked standard rooms were given larger rooms. When I queried the fact that we had been given a room which did not meet with our booking, the staff laughed and asked whether we needed two double beds (which...

Wooden cabin rooms were very spacious and comfortable, although noise travelled easily through them. Staff seemed friendly and helpful. Air conditioning unit was very slow and rooms were very warm. Pool area was nice (however yellow paint around the pool transferred on to skin so be aware).

The resort offers separate wooden cabins with en suite bathrooms which are very nice, the decor is outdated however and after some rainfall we discovered we had a hole in our roof. The breakfast is very over priced for what it is, 6USD for scrambled egg which was extremely salty. It is also situated about a 20 min walk from...

We stayed here last week as part of the G Adventures Basic Costa Rica tour. This was one of the nicest hotels on the tour. The hotel consists of separate cabins with ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning. There is a small clean swimming pool with sun loungers, perfect for relaxing after a morning of adventure such as canyoning or kayaking/stand...

I liked seeing the volcano looming over the fence. Pretty landscaping attracted birds, including parrots. The rooms were rustic but cute and comfortable. There were some old concrete units that were in ruins in the middle of the property. One was right next to a room and the plants were grown up and created a scary place at night. Sidewalks...

We stayed here with a G Adventures trip - and i thought the cabins were pretty good. The AC was great, and unlike the other reviewers, i thought the WiFi was fine. The cabins were big, and the pool was pretty good too. The hotel reception has a safe - which is the best option for keeping your valuables safe.

Pros: the cabins are charming, there's aircon in the room and the staff are pleasant Cons: lots of gaps for bugs to get through long walk into town, pool water relatively dirty and a member of our group had their cabin broke into and a tablet and laptop stolen. The police indicated there is an organised gang targeting all hotels...

Stayed here two nights with a group of students. The cabins were "cute", but dirty. Bathroom was not clean and the room had not been dusted in ages. The walls did not touch the floor in all places which was an invitation for geckos, spiders, mosquitoes, and other bugs to enter. Woman who runs the front desk does not speak...

We stayed here as part of a G Adventure Tour. On the plus side: the rooms were very clean, the bathrooms were spotless, the AC was fantastic and the grounds were lovely. On the down side: it's a long hike to town. On the really down side: there are literally holes in the walls. BIG ONES. I know that it...

The hotel itself is quite nice. Beautiful landscaped garden, nice spacious cabins, and a great pool area. The location is around 15-20 minutes walk from the centre of town but it's a walk straight down one street. The biggest issue was the wifi. It didn't work at all anywhere except for reception and even there it dropped in and out...
