Awesome hostel (in the center of la fortuna, warm pool, good value breakfast, nice staff)... but: the extremely loud and awful music is everything but relaxing. the hostel shouldn't be called "resort".

One of the nicest and most clean hostels I've ever stayed in. Staff was super informative, their food was pretty damn good, and their bathrooms were top notch (for a hostel!). If youre in the la fortuna area, I would highly recommend staying here. Perfect for (18-35 yr olds) who travel in pairs or alone. Great place and a great...

The hostel is a hostel, not a resort by any means. Breakfast is $6USD for eggs, mystery meat, fruit, toast and cereal. Overpriced for mediocre food. The beds are super uncomfortable I.e. you can feel every spring. They don't offer towels. The room had AC but it did not help with drying our clothes at all. The walls and windows...

Good things: Good location, staff will help with any info or tours or taxis you may need, comfy beds, nice to have AC and a fridge in the room, lots of hammocks to relax in, welcome drink is a nice touch. Not so good: Rooms were a bit basic, our shower was no good at all and it was very...

Great spot for travelers looking to hang out and meet people. There is a small pool, a bar, kitchen and plenty of hammocks for hanging out. We utilized their secure parking for our car and motorcycles and it worked great. Also: Air conditioning in some rooms!!! Definitely recommend this place, but call ahead because it was pretty full when we...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights/4 days in October 2016. I do not think I can say more GOOD things about this hostel. We have traveled to many countries and stayed in many hostels and hotels, and this one was something different- it made our experience in Costa Rica so awesome. Prior to our vacation- I spent...

Best hostel in la fortuna, room has AC and you only share bathroom with the 5 other people in the room, the bathroom is "in" the dorm room. We had a great time here, the pool was awesome and you can't get as big and as good a breakfast any cheaper elsewhere. This hostel was my favorite in Costa Rica!...

This is a clean hostel with friendly staff and an affordable all you can eat breakfast deal (not included). The owner, Christian was very helpful from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, helping us choose which tours to go on, where to eat and how to save money. The room was very nice for the price, though...

We visited Arenal Lodge for six nights with our two children aged 13 and 10 and had a lovely stay. It is miles from anywhere, ($35 to the local town of La Fortuna), but for most people that would be its charm. It's not like a typical hotel so if that's what you want this isn't the place for you...
