What a pleasant surprise! We had heard that this place was "Rustic", but the cabins were very comfortable, had lots of character and were very well maintained. The owner and his wife were great (but spoke no English). The grounds were a lovely garden. In addition, there is a large botanical garden in the back half of the property. The...

We stayed in this property on 1-3 april 2015. This hotel was a nightmare for us. Right off the bat we were so disappointed, the owner was trying to charged us more than what it was on hotels.com and when advised he said it was not possible the price was different. So we had to walk through a booking process...

Rustic, clean cabins with simple, well equipped kitchens with gorgeous natural view & delightful hosts. Attached botanical garden with medicinal herb garden an unexpected bonus as well as trails into jungle. Pool was a joy. Perfect for our family reunion. We stayed an extra day because we enjoyed it so much. Large house looked lovely as another option. Car or...

We made a reservation well in advance--through a booking agency--to stay at the Eco Lodge Coter on the west end of Lake Arenal. This was a place we had stayed before and enjoyed. When we arrived, we discovered that the place had gone out of business and been more or less abandoned. So we stayed at a different lodge in...

There is a shared kitchen where you can easaly coock your own meal. The view is beautifull, when it rains the toucans come...

Cabins are rustic with well equipped kitchens. Could use some maintenance of wood siding. Nice gardens. Very good soda just down the road with good food at great prices. There was a mistake on our on line reservation. We wanted one night but we were booked for two nights. The owner would not offer any compensation for the night we...

We were blown away by the natural beauty here. This was our first two days of a Costa Rica vacation so we had no idea what to expect. Our concern was that there might not be restaurants in this little village. No problem, we ate well in the open air restaurant just down the highway. Be bought breakfast the night...

Villa Josipek was a nice surprise. The cabins are rustic but are clean and have everything, even a kitchen and hot water. There is a lot of vegetation, a nice garden and we took the habit of waking up early to watch the birds. We saw parrots and toucans right on the property. The host (who only spoke spanish) made...

I actually stayed here May of 2010 but tripadvisor would not let me enter this date. If I would have known they were on here I would have listed this place with my other reviews from Costa Rica. Anyhow, I can honestly say that in all my travels this place was the friendliest place I have ever stayed at. Suhey...
