Amor Arenal was absolutely amazing!!!! My husband and I came in March 2023 for our honeymoon. We were treated like royalty. All of the staff is so nice. They remember your name and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. They even gave us some recommendations of restaurants and things to do around La Fortuna. The heated pool with the swim up bar is incredible. The cocktails served are amazing. The food is also delicious. We ate at the restaurant, as well as ordered room service, and everything was great. We already want to go back!!!

Hotel's Favorite
This property is a beautiful, peaceful oasis near Arenal. We stayed here for three nights as part of a 10-day trip to Costa Rica and this was our favorite place on the entire trip. Good location, easy access to all of the attractions/hiking trails and there are also a few trails on the property. Make sure to take advantage of the free yoga every morning! The casitas are incredible. Comfortable beds with gorgeous showers and views of the volcano. The private hot tub on the back balcony was amazing! Food was absolutely delicious- make sure to book a night at La jaranita! Incredible value with free breakfast. Drinks at the pool bar were too good :) cannot recommend Amor Arenal enough! Stay here!!!!

We came to Amor Arenal for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! The property is unmatched, well taken care of, and extremely private. The room was gorgeous and spacious. We loved the double rain shower, glass walls with a view of the volcano, and private plunge pool. They gave us congratulatory champagne and chocolate, and we were pleasantly surprised that everything in the mini-bar was free on the first try. We are big basketball fans, so we also appreciated the access to a tv in our room during 'March Madness'. The grounds were stunning and so well kept. We loved that there was even a second pool closer to our room. The amenities of the main pool, swim-up bar, yoga and wellness classes, gym, etc. were great to take advantage of. We were really impressed by the restaurants as well. We did two of their 'dining experiences' and thoroughly enjoyed the food tour of 6 regions of Costa Rica paired with cocktails and the parilla / outdoor barbeque experience. It was easy to go on excursions as we were picked up from the hotel and never had to lift a finger in that sense. However, what really made our stay so enjoyable was the kind and attentive staff. Each person was genuinely so kind, remembered who we were across several days, were extremely helpful, gave great recommendations - I could go on. We were truly sad to leave this place and the kind folks (Racquel, Diego, Mauricio, Carmen) that had created such a special experience for us. We stayed at the Hotel Amor Arenal, as well as 3 other hotels during a vacation in Costa Rica and this hotel was by far our favorite. -The breakfast each morning was amazing (especially their baked goods) and every meal is well cooked, using high quality ingredients. Can't stop thinking about the strawberry-rhubarb bread from breakfast. Menu is great with a combination of some very familiar dishes as well as some uniquely Costa Rican meals -The hotel staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful in every interaction. -The rooms are really well designed and spacious, with beautiful wood walls and beams, tons of glass to look out, as well as a beautiful ceiling made of bamboo. -The shower views of the volcano are unparalleled and same for the private jacuzzi. The suite itself felt very private, like nobody else could see you, while you have amazing views out into the volcano and jungle -The gym is excellent and much better than you would expect for a boutique hotel (only thing is it could use a second treadmill). -Although I didn't use it much, the meditation area also had a beautiful view out into the jungle and was really well constructed. …

I can’t say enough good things about this resort. Our room was spectacular - no detail was overlooked. The bed was super comfy and full of pillows (which we loved), the fridge was stocked, and the deck and outdoor jacuzzi was absolutely perfect for a couple. It felt like we were secluded in our own luxury rainforest cabin, but as soon as we called the front desk, anything we needed arrived in minutes (even a ride up to the restaurant or pool). Every person we encountered who works there was incredibly nice and helpful. The food was delicious, the hiking trail was beautiful, and the spa offered an incredible experience. My only regret is we didn’t get to stay longer.

Everything was amazing. The beds were so comfortable and the room was so beautiful with a private hot tub that was very secluded, great for couples. Service was great as well, everyone was very welcoming and the food was so delicious. I haven’t had food this good in years. Would recommend that everyone stays here.

This is a hotel for grownups. Great location and it is absolutely stunning. It is private and secluded and the service is amazing. Our room had the world’s greatest shower with a spectacular view of the Arenal volcano. We saw monkeys from our deck. They literally had to kick us out because we did not want to leave.

So this was our second time to Amour Arenal. Each time we stay we fall in love with it more and more. We love this place so much that anytime we ever go back to La Fortuna we will stay here. The rooms are amazing, the hot tub is amazing and the back deck is so private. you see lots of beautiful birds and the view of the volcano is spectacular. Next is the staff. They are super friendly and super helpful for anything you need and very accommodating. The last time we stayed here was in 2021 and one of the staff members Raquel recognized my wife and me. The pools are great, especially the one with the swim-up bar. If you ever go to La Fortuna Amour Arenal is the only place to stay.
