This was the highlight of our visit to La Fortuna. The hacienda is absolutely beautiful located in a lush jungle setting with waterfalls and mud baths. Our stay was peaceful, quiet and so relaxed. The staff was unbelievable and made us feel like family. I enjoyed nothing more than conversing with Willmar, Ana and Will. They went out of their... More

Our family of four stayed here for five nights and had a fabulous time! We shared a large family room with three beds and a bathroom, which was clean and comfortable, although the lighting at night could have been better. It opened onto a large, wonderful deck overlooking the tropical jungle surrounding the ecolodge, with a spectacular view of the... More

I came here to accomplish two things: relax/restore and have a jungle adventure. Both were achieved at Princesa de la Luna. The lodge is built right into the rainforest, with no walls except for the bedrooms. It is truly beautiful and serene. You are instantly treated like family, and the food is excellent. The property has two waterfalls, one of... More

We absolutely LOVED Princesa de la Luna! We are a family of 6 (kids ages 14, 12, 9 & 4) and everyone agreed that this was a highlight of our trip. William (the manager) was so kind and service oriented. He took us on what he called a "tour" but I would describe it more as an adventure (small scale... More

You will not find a more honest, caring, and authentic Costa Rican experience than the Princesa de la Luna. I am a teacher and took 6 children to La Fortuna. The place we were staying at there was not working for us, and we met William, the manager of la Princesa through a recommendation. We visited his Eco Lodge there... More

We stayed here for the first 3 nights of our 2 week trip to Costa Rica. We wished we had spent a week here. We are a family of 4, with two boys aged 7 and 9. This lodge is really hard to describe, it is an eco-lodge with private rooms but many layers of outdoor living space. Rooms are... More

My group and I (a group of 6 teenagers and 3 chaperones from Memphis) were connected with William by the man who owned our first BnB, and I am so grateful that William was part of our Costa Rican experience; he was readily available for any questions we had about the Arenal region and things to do. Actually, William and... More

This place was truly beautiful. We recently stayed here for the first leg of our family trip. We only stayed two nights, but wish we had more time there. William and the other staff were exceptional. The whole place feels like a grownup treehouse with a wonderful view of the volcano and the gorgeous flora CR is known for. We... More

This is a really special place -- a lodge, definitely off the beaten path, in the middle of the jungle. We stayed there over Easter with two families - 4 adults, 5 kids - and had an absolutely wonderful time. William, who manages the property, was a fantastic host, helping us plan our days and showing us around the large... More
