Our stay at Rancho Cerro Azul was one of the highlights of our vacation. Our spacious cabin was impressively done with beautiful native woods, very nicely furnished including a king sized bed, and a large bathroom with modern fixtures. (Particularly liked the rain shower) As a bonus, the "back porch" facing the meadow and rainforest was a great place for...

This family run lodge is a true gem. From the excellent breakfast to the friendly and helpful staff one can't go wrong staying here. The cabins are clean, well organized and attractive. The trails in back are a bonus. Within walking distance to town, Cerro Azul is a great place to stay.

I was so pleasantly surprised by my stay at Hotel Rancho Cerro Azul -- the photography on its listings isn't great, and my room was much more beautiful than I expected. It is set just outside of La Fortuna on the way to La Fortuna Waterfall - so a quiet location without much traffic. I had a king bungalow that...

This family-owned set of 8 cabins is well maintained and quiet. It is only a short distance outside of town. Ben and his family were super helpful and our stay was excellent. The price was very reasonable. Don't let the low cost make you think this is a low end experiences. It was awesome. I could not recommend more highly!

This is a family-run operation, and the staff welcomes you as guests. On our first night, they had a musician and a little fiesta. We were told there would be "snacks" but more and more food kept coming off the grill---could have been a meal. It was a great time. The rooms are little cabins, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is...
