Great and friendly people. Clean room and bathroom. There is a very cosy garden in the backyard. It is nicely situated just next to the beautiful little park of grecia. A lot of restaurants bars and bakeries nearby.

There is only one hostel in Grecia but lucky it gives a great and affordable accommodation. Just out of the central park , super clean , public kitchen and more. The hostel in walking distance for everything the city offers and step away for any bus terminal to any remote location. I enjoyed staying and love Grecia.

Grecia is not a very common stop for travelers moving though Costa Rica! But it's central location with many amazing things near by make this an ideal place to visit. The hostel is extremely comfortable, affordable and relaxing. The outside terrace in the back makes you feel like your in a tropical escape! Marco, who runs the place and grew... More

I stayed here for 2 nights on a solo trip that started with my taking a chance to travel the country with 2 French backpackers I met on the road. Oscar and his friends were so welcoming and awesome. The night I spent talking to them about the politics, and society of CR made my whole trip worth it. The... More

We were planning on staying longer, but only stayed 2 nights, as there was NO water. The first night had water, the next morning there was none until about 9:00 am, so decided to stay a second night ... Bad idea, as there was no water that night & again the next morning, so we quickly left with no shower... More

Had been packing around Costa Rica and planned to finish my trip in Grecia. I chose the hostel based on the reviews and the website that mentioned free shuttle service to and from the airport. I emailed several times to confirm the booking and time for the pick up and every time they replied quickly and positively that there would... More

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hostel is located in the center of town just two blocks from the bus station. The second-floor balcony looks out over the central park and is perfect for relaxing and reading.

Perfectly located with a beautiful garden to relax in, and a lovely homey feel, this hostel was the perfect first stop after flying into SJO (and wanting to avoid San Jose). Marco and his family were lovely, Marco came and picked me up from the airport, was very helpful about how to get around, where things were etc. Even took... More

A great alternative to staying at lesser-quality places that are a little closer to the airport. Marco was patiently helpful with complex travel routing, knowledgeable and really cordial. Just a real personable guy. The property is beautiful and the walls are filled with murals from local artists that blew my mind. Great hangout area in the open courtyard out back.... More
