Roberto set up taxis etc, for local tours and suggested best times for visiting. His knowledge of local cafes, churches, and tourist sites was outstanding. Our rooms were scattered through out the hotel on different levels and four of us were in our late seventies and the staff was very helpfull in co-ordinating our trips.

I loved this little hotel. It is not fancy, but the good news is, you don't pay a fancy price. The wi-fi worked well the whole time I was there. Roberto is so friendly and helpful, AND speaks perfect English. He patiently reviewed a map with me and explained to me how to use the bus system. The place is...

The wife and I stayed in a small room w/ private bath. The room was very clean and a nice deal.. I believe it was 42 dollars. Staff and the owner were very helpful by giving us directions to local restaurants, getting us settled in for the night and arranging a taxi for the middle of the night to help...

I emailed a cancellation to robertocacho@hotelmitierra.net, 26 days BEFORE the reserved nights. Both night's reservation numbers were included in the email as well as my full name. Roberto is charging me, even though I followed ALL cancellation requirements, AND he was also advised by phone, by a person who is fluent in his language. I was warned Roberto will charge...

We stayed here our first and last night in Costa Rica. For the price it is a great place. The breakfast is very good and the coffee is incredible. Roberto, the owner is nice and very helpful. He recommended a GREAT Chinese restaurant for dinner one night. One thing to consider. There is only one shared bathroom. If that's off...

Its only 5 minutes from the international airport (3.000 colones) and it offer nice and clean rooms, swimming pool with fresh water and good breakfest with really tasty gallo pinto. The...

This place is a perfect stopover between a flight in/out of SJO and your next stop in CR. You'll get there in minutes and for just a few dollar taxi ride from the airport. It isn't fancy, but it is comfortable. Breakfast is included, though you only get one egg. It is tasty. Roberto and his staff were super friendly...

I took a trip to a biological station in costa Rica this past week. The day of our arrival and the night before we took off, we spent in Mi Tierra. It was amazing. The staff were great, the rooms were comfortable and a hot breakfast goes a long way. By American standards it s not fancy with shared bathrooms...

I have stayed in Mi Tierra three times now. It is an excellant place to stay when one has an early flight the next day and wants to be near to the airport. Roberto and Gaby are kind, helpful and extremely nice. The breakfast is also very good. I enjoyed swimming in the small pool. This is not a fancy...
