The hotel is beautifully done. The rooms are simply decorated but very elegant. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and very helpful. I was looking forward the having breakfast in the courtyard but unfortunately they don't start serving until 7am and we had early plans both days... so try to give yourself a little extra time in...

We spent 2 nights here before ending our trip in Costa Rica so that we could see the city and be near the airport. The hotel is located near many restaurants, grocery stores, shops, and bus terminals. It was absolutely beautiful with high ceilings and tile floors. The courtyard/dining area was well maintained and very pretty as was the front...

This is a great little hotel with free shuttle to the airport, clean rooms, a very friendly staff, and right in the heart of Alajuela where it's very easy to get a feel for the local culture! Just a block or two to a large outdoor market. Great breakfast and a very inviting atmosphere.

What a great little Oasis in the heart of Alajuela! I host a retreat every year in Montezuma Costa Rica and I like to stop for a day in Alajuela to seat my re-entry back home. Los Volcanes is adorable, in the heart of town, close to everything and Daniel, one of front desk administrator is a sweet guy who...

Our room was nicely appointed and beds very comfortable for a good nights sleep. They served a delicious breakfast in a beautiful courtyard. The fresh fruit smoothies were delicious as was the Costa Rican coffee. A...

Located just a block from the central park this hotel is great for exploring alajuela with surroundings. The staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are clean. The house is one of the few remaining from the turn of the century with beautiful high ceilings. Great breakfast!

Did not receive any info about the breakfast and the staff did not have information about our check-in even though we had reserved a while back. Although, I left a belonging of mine at the hotel and they were awesome about holding it onto it for me so I could get it back! We really enjoyed our room as well...

Our flight from Nova Scotia arrived late, due to an ice storm; early February. Instead of landing at 5 pm, it was 10 pm. Hotel Los Volcanoes is very close to the airport, we took a cab. The host met us at the door. Room was quite comfortable. Lovely breakfast outside in the morning. We had tried to book shuttle...

This hotel will cab you to the airport and is only a 7 minute cab ride away. The staff helped me find my way around, held my bags and allowed me to shower after checkout. You have to be buzzed in to get into the building so it feels very safe. I loved walking around Alajuela. we visited the market,...
