Nice rooms laid out in walled grounds with security. Rooms don't have TV or fridge. Very nice restaurant, bar and pool. Great staff. Free parking. The only thing there's not much in the immediate area you need transport to get to the local sights and town centre.

Thank you for staying with us! I am glad that you did enjoy the facility and staff during your stay. We are in the process of creating more things to do on the property, in addition to the pool, restaurant, games and art gallery on site to add fitness trails, more information about Costa Rica in both books and films... This is a great little hotel, great staff and great atmosphere... the grounds are beautiful. We stayed for a weekend in the middle of a two week adventure trip and it was a fantastic place to relax and recharge. We liked it so much, we returned for our final night as well. The pool is refreshing and deep, at least... More

A nice clean rustic inn in the country. The rooms were clean. No television. WiFi available free. The restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. The people are very nice and helpful. The pool was warm.

The grounds of San Ignacio are worth the visit alone. The room was large, quiet and refreshing with air conditioning. The restaurant was excellent, although pricey. I had the fresh Tuna and it was a huge steak served raw (but seared) and with an amazing salad. Too much for one person, so consider sharing plates. The restaurant and bar service... More

The rooms are nice, clean, and the beds are comfortable. The decor is very pleasing-- traditional Central American. There is a nice pool with adjacent restaurant and sitting areas. The breakfast was tasty with the choice of either the typical Costa Rican breakfast or fruit and toast. I got the fruit, which was all perfectly ripe, and the pineapple jam... More

We booked our last night in Costa Rica at Villa San Ignacio to be near the airport. Check-in took longer than it should have - the clerk seemed to make everything complicated. Our room was in the upper building, up the hill from the pool and restaurant - less than a 5 minute walk. The decor in the room was... More

Stayed there one night waiting for family to fly in. One of the best places we stayed at all week. I would recommend eating there for lunch, dinner, and breakfast. The chef is excellent. During our trip we drove up and down the pacific coast, to Arenal, and back again and no one had better food than this place. Rooms... More

Beautiful place to stay - once we found it (finding most places in Costa Rica is not easy). The only negative was the fact that it is right on a busy street. Our room faced the lobby and pool so we weren't facing the noisy street, but it was still loud for my husband. I sleep through anything, but my... More

We recently spent first two nights of a 9 day trip at Villa San Ignacio. We were a group of ten and planned our stay directly with the hotel. We worked with Xenia who was absolutely wonderful and made sure all the transportation and tour requests were perfectly set up. We stayed in 3 of the new rooms (2 queen... More
