We arrived at the airport at about 6:30 p.m. and that wasn't enough time to get to Montezuma,, so I selected this hotel in advance, based on Trip Advisor ratings and reviews. It's a very nice boutique hotel within 10 minutes of the airport. The taxi fare was cheap. Our room was wonderful and the grounds and the pool were...

Questionably cleaned rooms, yucky bathrooms. TV was on when we came in our room. Free shuttle was late picking us up by an hour and we had to keep calling. They picked up others and forgot us :/ Spendy food was so-so. Free breakfast was decent. Two options: cereal or rice and beans. Front desk staff were nice.

Room service, hot showers, AC, a pool, free breakfast, free shuttle to the airport, friendly staff and working wifi. This was a fantastic choice at the end of my three week trip through Costa Rica and Nicaragua, and a great break from hostel living. 5 stars in my books, had everything I could ask for.

I gave them a quick call on arrival and was picked up straight away. I was travelling on my own so it was good to have this service. The next day I needed transport into the hills and they called around to get me a good deal, much cheaper than I had been able to find. It is very functional,...

Always enjoy staying here! Close to airport, pool, and walking distance amenities. Great staff. Now, some new grand rooms and grown up garden add to the comfort and splendor. + Berlor Pizza on-site for those late night snacks. Some say most rooms are kinda small. But who stays in their room all day? -off to the Hilton why donchya, and...

We stayed here for one night, to catch a plane home the next day. Rooms are basic, but ok. Bathroom however was not very well maintained. The hotel has an excellent location close to the airport (and airport-shuttle is included in the price). Pizza's in the restaurant are good. I think you can do better, but you can also do...

We had booked this hotel through Expedia for two nights. We had booked a room with 2 queen beds since we were a family of four. On checking in we realized that the room was really small and the queen beds were place against the walls in the room. That meant that the person sleeping on the inside had to...

Only stayed 1 night but the cost and service was great. The staff went out of their way to order pizza for me (since I couldn't speak Spanish). The room was small but sufficient for a solo traveler staying 1 night. The pool courtyard was beautiful and inviting. I look forward to taking a longer stay here next time.

I've stayed in Hotel Berlor twice, when I arrived in Costa Rica and before I left the country 3,5 weeks later. I had two very pleasant stays there! Very nice & helpful staff! The pasta was delicious :-) It's a good choice for a stay before departure or after arrival and I would choose it anytime again.

I always stay at the hotel Berlor when I am flying in or out of San Jose; the hotel is cute, quaint and clean, and the staff is very very accommodating and friendly. In comparison to the surrounding hotels, Hotel Berlor is very affordable offering rooms from $50-$80. Not to mention, the free shuttle ride to the airport, which is...
