The lobby is beautiful, and the restaurant on site is convenient. The location could not be better if visiting the University of Alabama. Lots of updates have been made to this hotel and it looks good. I understand the mask mandate due to Covid-19, but the gentleman at the front desk was extremely rude and short with my party when we walked into the hotel without our masks on. We had just traveled from out of state and had forgotten to put them on before walking through the door. He could have just given us a friendly reminder to put on our masks (which we had with us), but instead he was rude to us. The room we stayed in was a suite, and had tons of room, a nice sitting area and a desk to work on, as well as a very comfortable king bed. Perfect accommodations. However, the bathroom was TINY and the shower didn't close properly and leaked water all over the floor. The bathroom was far too small to be shared by two people. For such a large suite, the bathroom should have been bigger. Other than that, our stay was great. Check out was easy and the rest of the staff was friendly. Rooms were clean. I would definitely stay again.

You will not be disappointed in any way, except when you realize your stay is over and you are leaving. The location gave me the opportunity to walk every where I needed to go. The staff could not have be more professional or friendly. A true pleasure.

First, let me say this is the only one of our stays at the Capstone that was shockingly disappointing. The receptionist was negatively chatty. The room was not what we reserved. The bathroom was dirty with lots os long blonde hair stuck to the shower and main door. Worst, was the excessive amount of mold on the ceiling around the air vent. We will likely stay there again, it is convenient and usually much better than this, but if this happens again, we will head off of campus.

Thank you for sharing feedback regarding your recent stay with us. I was very disappointed to hear about the poor experience you had over this visit. This is definitely not the type of stay we want our guests to have and I apologize for the lack of customer service and guest room service experienced. I have reached out via your personal email and I do hope I will be able to have the chance to speak with you further. I appreciate your time.

This is a beautiful older hotel which has been immaculately maintained. The facility is very convenient to the University of Alabama campus and near the football stadium. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were both painless and efficient. Our room was very nice. The bed (a king) was really comfortable. The room was immaculate. Television had HBO and Disney available. Unlike many hotels/motels the thermostat in the room was very effective adding to our comfort. Only negative to the accommodations was the size of the bathroom which was rather small.

Wonder little boutique hotel that sits - literally - in the middle of the University of Alabama campus. Full service, unlike most of the other hotels in the area with a great bar and restaurant. Highly recommend to business travelers from Daimler, Mercedes, and University business.
