Because we were a family traveling, we wanted an apartment with a more homey feel: Possibility to wash clothes, hot plates etc. World Union Serviced Apartment fitted this perfectly with washing machine, dryer, hot plates, dining table. It was clean and the location is great, just next to Jing'an temple with line 2, 5 minutes from the hotel which can...

I stayed at World Union Service Apt for one night this week as I had a 24 hour layover in Shanghai. This place is incredible. The proximity to everything is awesome and the staff is very nice. Checking in was very simple and once I entered the room I was shocked how big it was. It even came with a...

We stayed 3 in a room which additionally had a washing machine and a microwave oven. There is a drying rack behind the curtains by the window to hang or dry your clothes. The third bed was a sofa bed, which was not comfortable. The double bed was okay. The room was clean. So was the bathroom. The shower area...

Great location in the down town area in Shanghai, handy to the metro station and shops. It's basic, small but fully furnished, it does provide everything you need. Free internet, washing machine and kitchen facilities are very handy

My friend and I spent 7 nights in one of the apartments of this building. The reception was actually at the 16th floor, where one of the rooms was actually used as an office. The people there spoke quite a nice English (... for Chinese standards....) and we were able to communicate without any problems. The room we rented was...

Go to this hotel only if you have no money in your packet. When I asked for safe box they bring portal safe box ! - it is not clean - location is good - internet connection is slow - Train station and airport (both international and domestic) are accessible with line 2

Well, dont expect too much from the property when it comes to rooms...they are old and need renovation however the best part of staying there is location, it is simply perfect: close to many dining outlets, famous Jingan temple, luxurious shopping. It is easy to travel around the city from this property too. So, if you are ready for 2-3...

This hotel is very well located, close to the metro station Jing'an Temple (Line 2, the line that goes from Hongqiao Airport to Pudong Airport). The rooms are a little bit old but large and clean, with modern bathrooms, free mineral water every day. The bed was comfortable and the staff is very helpful, although they don’t really speak good...

This hotel is really well located near line 2 Jing An Temple. The rooms are a little bit old but clean, so it is ok for the price. The staff don t speak good english but is very helpfull. Maybe a good choice for a reasonnable budget.

Staying in Jing'an

Neighborhood Profile
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
