This hotel has great suites, huge rooms and very romantic. The bed is very comfortable, the shower preasure is great with real hot water. The AC works good, but the thermostat was broken and i couldnt adjust it myself. The staff are very friendly, but they speak very little English. This hotel is getting runned down and needs great improvement....

The rooms are huge, the bathroom is very nice bud the beds are hard and not so comfortable. The breakfast is good and offers some western products. If you drive to downtown by taxi you have to pay around 40 Rmb at daytime and around 120 rmb in the night.

I was there from August 11th until about the 3rd week of August, 2015. I was in Shanghai for a job interview and to run some fencing camps. The hotel room was HUGE! Kinda a throwback to the 60's with the colors but it was comfortable. The satellite TV kept freezing or shutting off and wireless internet was only in...

this time this hotel was very disappointing i ordered a deluxe room it seemed just like the regular room just on a higher floor. the air condition didn't work when i asked the reception about it they said they didn't open the ac system because the weather wasn't hot enough, the temp in the room was 28 degrees and that...

The room was enormous but with the bathroom somehow integrated into the bedrooom in an open-plan way. OK if you're travelling on your own but a bit odd if you were sharing. The carpet along the corridor crunched as you walked along it - sounded like piles of plastic bags under foot. Breakfast was OK. Over all not bad but...

The all suites hotel is quite contemporary in its design and the studio room I stayed at 3rd floor was well appointed. It comes with a living room, a semi-furnished kitchen, a king bed and a nice bath...

I am a regular return visitor here when working at golf tournaments in and around Shanghai. Traffic in the city is always problematic, but the Highsure is close to a main highway and with easy access. The rooms/suites are faultless. Spacious and comfortable with large bathroom, bedroom, lounge, kitchen and office areas. There are appartments in Shanghai which are considerably...

The Highshure is a modern all suites hotel near Hong Qiao airport and beside a golf course. The room I had was enormous with a large sitting area, desk, and sofas. The bathroom is part of the room itself, up on a raised floor. The only door or partition was the shower plateglass. Breakfast was good if unremarkable with the...

Staying in Gubei / Hongqiao / Minhang

Neighborhood Profile
Gubei / Hongqiao / Minhang
West of Shanghai’s better-known business, cultural and entertainment centers, lies an expansive area of residential neighborhoods peppered with lifestyle pockets that have their own unique attractions. The schools have formed pockets of international communities throughout Gubei, Hongqiao and Minhang. Quite a few entertainment and shopping centers have built up over the years to cater to these communities. While living here means you are relatively far away from Shanghai’s usual hot spots, the large parks, spacious homes and proximity to great Japanese and Korean food keep the neighborhoods popular.
