I cannot count the nights I stayed at Longemont or former Regent since it opened. The team is very friendly, and breakfast is quite good and huge variety. On big wish: please start renovation in the rooms and pay more attention to general maintenance. It is really needed in the meantime!!!

This is my favorite hotel for the money value. The Longemont used to be the Regent Hotel so it has all the infrastructures. The location is very central and easy access to other part of Shanghai. The breakfast buffet is grand. The indoor swimming pool is a must. It has see through glasses on the side for one to sit... More

I enjoyed my stay here very much. The hotel is a little dated, but not enough to put me off staying again. It is in a good location, about an hour from Pudong International airport in a taxi. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and it is located close to the edge of the French Concession, so you... More

Nice business hotel, rooms are clean and large. Good breakfast, very polite and helpful staff. A short cab ride to some of the best high-end shopping in the area. Starbucks close by. The cost of the rooms extremely reasonable. This is my third time staying at the hotel since I do business in the area. I will return!

We spent 2 nights at the Longemont after a Princess cruise as it was part of their package. We had a room on the 30th floor. The room was comfortable, clean and large with lots of marble and wood and great view. The bathroom was huge and had a lovely deep bath. I had been told when booking that breakfast... More

Nice hotel and great 5 star value. Suites are superb. Good restaurant selection, particularly breakfast and the sushi restaurant. Walking distance to many other restaurants and shops. Requires a cab to the Bund or Pearl Market, but very inexpensive rides. Not a lot of nightlife in the area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great fitness area and pool.

I was in this Hotel several years ago, then came back now after a while. Had good memory and I should say the style and the overall quality today is good and still exceed my expectation. Room is very clean (doesn't look old) and well organized. Very big and comfortable. Public spaces also well maintained, simply but refinery designed. Only... More

A former Regent Hotel....now run by cost - cutting local management and declining. Have stayed there for years as close to business and have known many of the staff so strong sense of operations. Was once one of the best. Almost all the professional international employees are long gone - replaced by locals - the locals replaced by interns (... More

Let me start by saying my husband loved this hotel and I loathed it ! I had emailed before we went explaining that I needed a low floor room due to severe vertigo - I got no response but assumed (wrongly) that this would be taken care of. We stayed for one night before a long haul flight home and... More

Staying in Zhongshan Park

Neighborhood Profile
Zhongshan Park
The residential and commercial areas around the beautiful grounds of Zhongshan Park have never been considered particularly fashionable by a majority of Shanghai’s foreign residents, but plenty of expats do choose to live here. The park itself is a huge draw, providing a pocket of serenity in the middle of the metropolis. The area has its share of trendy shops with wares that can’t be found elsewhere, delicious restaurants with food ranging from fancy to affordable, and great hidden bars. Rents are also cheaper here than in other neighborhoods with the same conveniences. Aside from the obvious attractions, with its neighborhood fix-anything shops and pop-up street stalls that sell anything you need, you’ll never sacrifice Western comforts.
