The hotel is around the budget end of the market but it is so central it is just amazing. It is the 7 to 15 floor above shops and offices. Nothing odd for the Chinese. It is clean and could do with a bit of TLC but the location is just fantastic. On line 2 so easy reach from the...

Once you´re able to find the Hotel and realize that it is on the top a clothing store you're safe. Located on "the street" Nanjing Road, a couple of blocks from the metro station. The Seventh Heaven is a very affordable Hotel with decent buffet breakfast and free wifi. Breakfast is more than ok, they offer western and chinese dishes....

This hotel is EXACTLY what I wanted! It was right on the busy pedestrian street, East Nanjing Road. The Bund was a short (10-12 minute) walk; People's Square/Park were less than 10 minutes away, which was ideal for catching the efficient metro! The room was basic but comfortable. Breakfast was quick and filling!

Good value for money. In between two subway stations (East Nanjing Road and Peoples Square) plus a ten minute walk to the Bund. Very quiet considering it's central location. Breakfast was quite good and included in the room rate - although you order from a menu, not a buffet so not very big portions. Room was clean and spacious. Only...

the location is nice as it is between west and east Nanjing road. safe even you get home late as Nanjing road is well lit. the only thing I hate about this hotel is there is no aircon. imagine the cold weather outside and when you enter your room it is so suffocating due to no aircon inside the room....

Very good location. About 5 mins to people's park station and taking a bit longer abt 7 mins to east nanjing station while going to the bund is about 15 mins by foot. Surrounded with many restaurants & shops. The view from our room is nice as we could see people walking along the Nanjing pedestrian. At the hotel entrance...

Location can't be beat. Right on the main mall and hop on hop off bus stop at the door. 7 steps up to the entrance then lift to 7th floor reception. Western food outlets like Pizza Hut KFC Maccas literally just across the mall, along with Pharmacy and major upmarket stores. Staff spoke English but were not very friendly. Their...

The hotel is placed right in the middle of the busiest street of Shanghai - East Nanjing Road. The rooms were very clean and the cleaning team always did a good job. The only downside was that the staff didn't really speak english which made it hard for us to communicate our wishes to them. The beds were very comfy...

The location of the hotel is simply perfect for tourists: in the heart of the city, close to shopping, restaurants, attractions, etc. But the Hotel itself is quite disappointing: My room was although quite big and clean, but gave the feeling of something old and dark. The smell of chemicals in the corridor lets you understand that the hotel personnel...

Staying in People’s Square

Neighborhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
