Definitely opposite from all the reviews I checked before booking this hotel. Location is good, but doesn't make up for the conditions of the place - old, smelly, noisy, not so friendly staff, moldy shower curtains, no water pressure for the shower... And plus they allow prostitutes to distribute their cards in the rooms - seriously?! Oh! Wifi? Paid, 35...

Stayed here one night for a conference. It was long enough. My room was pleasant, spacious with plenty of extras (slippers, robes, kettle, safe, toiletries) with a comfortable bed. The hotel appears to be in a residential area, but colleagues who ventured out report that it was close to places of interest. The reception staff were very abrupt and certainly...

I stayed here for three nights while attending a meeting. The hotel is basic - no frills and the décor is rather drab. I paid for internet in my room but the reception was very erratic. It made me frustrated. The internet was free in the lobby but even here, I could not always connect and there is no seating...

the hotel is well decorated and equipped - good value for money. The rooms are big, wifi is sketchy, and the breakfast is pretty good for a small hotel. One of the few Chinese hotels I've stayed at not aimed at international market that doesn't smell like an ashtray! what lets it down though is the awful booking system: -...

It was a class trip and we stay here. Really liked the room, it was big (2 beds coz we shared rooms), the beds were comfortable and the room was well kept. The buffet breakfast was delicious, traditional Chinese breakfast. It's ideally located close enough to a small shopping district. Close by also are night clubs, quite a few in...

This is a great hotel to stay at. It is a large hotel, and the room was big and comfortable. and clean. Housekeeping was great. Room has all the basic amenities such as AC and TV, etc. Breakfast is available and can be arranged with your booking. Free WIFI is available in the lobby. The location is fantastic, right in...

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is a bit old, however everything worked well. The rooms are a bit dark, the aircondition did not Work optimal. Check in and check out went well and quick. I did not use the restaurants.

Honestly, I can’t say it’s terrible but there are far better hotels of a similar price and level to stay in around the same area. I’ve stayed here several times for business (not by choice) the reception staff can be abrupt and impolite and don’t appear to understand service. The rooms are tired and need renovation although appear reasonably clean...

Ok for transit stay or 1 night stay. Walk in rate approx $60 including breakfast. Building is old and run down. The lobby is huge however not a single seating area for guests. They do not have adaptor rental available for international guests. Rooms are a bit dark and just acceptable. The plates and cups used for breakfast were mostly...

Chosen this hotel as I was on transit and wanted to stay somewhere near city center within limited budget. The room offered wasn't good (I avoid using the word bad). Room is dated (which is not a problem with me as long as it's clean) and in my opinion not well maintained. The bathroom floor was wet upon my arrival,...

Staying in Jing'an

Neighborhood Profile
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
