This hotel is OK. We had a guide arranged to give us a lift into the city centre on the first day, but there is a Metro station quite close. The Metro is easier to use than you think, but the journey is over half an hour, mind you it took us over an hour by car! The breakfast was...

I was staying in Shanghai for 2 days for a business trip, and we had our colleague booked for us since there was a discount. We had liked the environment until we found out wifi is only available in the lobby. As an international city I would expect wifi should be everywhere in the hotel. The rooms are very clean...

We stayed 3 nights here on a tour by Magical China. The hotel is fine, and we had the best breakfast on tour, but the rooms were very warm, never going below 25 degrees. Having discussed this with the staff on Reception, we discovered they turn it off at night! A bit of a con when you book expecting a...

We stayed here for eight days (two separate visits) seeing a family member attending Fudan University for a semester. The hotel is NOT close to downtown and the Bund, so don't believe the other review that says it is. But we knew that up front. We chose it because it's relatively close to Fudan and that has worked out fine....

We stayed for one night during an organised trip round China and then returned a few nights later for our last night in China. The location was OK – it was a few minutes’ walk away from Wujiaochang on Line 10 of the Metro which is only a few of stops down to East Nanjing Road. There were big shopping...

It was lovely having luxuries such as bathrobes ans slippers. Staff in the hotel were very welcoming and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. This was my brothers 6th visit and the staff were delighted...

We booked the hotel because of its location which is near shopping and dining areas, a metro (Wujiaochang) and Fudan University. We were expecting basic service for a Chinese hotel but we were very impressed with our stay. Communication was a bit difficult with only a few staff speaking English but we expected this and we were able to get...

We stayed in this hotel as part of an organised tour of China. It was the first hotel of our holiday and was by far the best. The rooms were spacious and the bed was large and comfortable. All the little extras were superb, slippers, toiletries, dressing gown etc. Breakfast was also excellent with a varied selection of Chinese and...

Bedrooms were spacious and silk duvets and pillows made for deep sleeping. Rooms overlooked a large roundabout with an impressive lighting display at night. A very large shopping centre close by was a bonus! Construction work below on a multi-storied underground shopping centre did not impact on our sleep at night - all noisy work shut down at 5pm and...

“Ask for a room overlooking the roundabout for the lights at night. To turn on the shower there is a small stainless steel knob under the tap at the top of the hosing that you need to pull down - voila!”
