My stay at the Shangri-La hotel was perfect. There were some issues with the reservation, which led me to believe that I was given a different type of room when I checked in. Mr. Ma, the lobby manager, solved my problem in a very timely and thoughtful manner. My whole family has left with a wonderful memory. Thank you very much!
friendly service and place very busy but great location for centre of town. Food is very nice and plenty of choice. Hi cafe is excellent value. Shame about the Santa who could only offer lollipops to the kids from a red sock. Not very convincing Cocktail bar in the evening worth a visit just for the view
Great staff service and fantastic river view. It is quite convenient to get to multiple landmarks in Shanghai from this hotel. Also, the breakfast and dinner buffets are excellent. There was a wide range of food to select and majority of them have nice taste.
although I had some unhappy experiences with Lobby front line staff and misunderstanding with the guest service manager , I still like to take this opportunity to address the recover service made jimmy was very recovering , when I got rejected he immediately offered help went in and out twice to assist me with takeouts . And I also like to thanks the duty manager on afternoon shift as well he was very patient we talk a lot that day really appreciate it for the service , the very next day I was lock outside my room as the door lock went down , but the morning shift duty manager went up very quickly I could even hear his running step out of the lift . So in anyway it made me feel like I’m Shangri-La again , thanks for the effort .
thanks for the support from Penny and Ciel from lounge，i booked room for birthday, they arrange the upgrade before i arrived and arrange the gifts in my room, i do have a wonderful holiday in the hotel and appericatied for everything your service people did for me.
Excellent service, especially from horizontal club staffs. They really made me feel like joke during my stay. I strongly recommend visitors to stay this hotel with Huang Pu river view room. Thank you.
Mediocre. Long check in and breakfast queue. Front-end staff that do not speak English. They place a cheap IKEA tent in the room and called it a Family Staycation room. The pool is small and mediocre. Most probably the poor service is due to high traffic during the Oct holiday. However, they shold have anticipated that. For a place like Shangri-la, i really expect a unique experience. But sadly, this was not it.
In Shangri-la Pudong, I enjoyed the best Happy Hour ever. Thank Peggie, Penny and Ciel who introduced the wonderful menu and prepared everything wonderfully for me. Thanks a lot! I was originally scheduled to stay on the 26th floor of Pudong Shangri La this time. Because I wanted to stay before two o'clock for a conference call, the front desk arranged for me to stay in room 906. I am very grateful for this, but there were cracks in the toilet and peeling tiles on the washbasin in my room. In addition, after a day's work, I returned to the hotel and found that the cleaning was not good, The hair on the ground has not been cleaned. This is the first time I have such experience at Pudong Shangri La Hotel. As a five-star hotel, guest room cleaning should be a basic requirement. Hope this could be improved in the future.
Great hospitality from Mr Kenny Ooi and his team. We had a wonderful stay celebrating our Mid-Autumn Festival there and also attended the Malaysia Independence Day (Hari Merdeka ) Gala Dinner. Breakfast was awesome and we will surely come back. Shangrila is often our first choice, we stayed in Shangrila Hangzhou back in December and we also had a very pleasant stay there. When we first checked in on Sunday afternoon, they upgraded one of my rooms with an amazing view of The Bund. For this stay, we made a hotel reservation through trip.com.
