The hotel is at a great location. Close to Shanghai railway station and very close to subway stop (3 minute walk). It is located on a walking street full of restaurants. We did not have the hotel breakfast and instead enjoyed the 50% the Wagas breakfast on weekdays which is a few minutes walk down the street. I saw another... More

I stayed at this hotel for the third time last March. When no one is available to come pick me up at the airport, it's really convenient to go there by taxi since I kept the business card I took upon my first stay and drivers never have problems finding the place, a difficulty I've encountered trying to go to... I have stayed there 4 times now as my client located nearby have booked me in this hotel. Don't expect too much from the hotel itself. It is quite far from Pu Dong airport. The room is not big but it is tidy; Has complimentary Internet (wired) access in room and free wifi in the lobby. The staff speak sufficient... More

We stayed here on a recommendation from a friend and it was a great choice. Yes the beds are a little hard but if you have ever been to china this is to be expected. They do have softer mattress tops you can request at no charge. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. The hotels location is an easy... More

This hotel is very well located. There are many shopping places close to the hotel as well as many restaurants. The subway is also very close, so it's easy to explore the city. Don't expect to be well rested though: the mattress is really hard and the air conditionning is not enough to fight the heat of the summer. Rooms... More

I would never stay here again or recommend this hotel, even to my worst enemy. The reason we stayed in this hotel was because it was easy to get to. From the airport we got on subway line two, and changed to the opposite side of the tracks at Guanglan Road, which is the end of the line for the... More

this is the best hotel for the Mid range Dollar, Yuan, lire, yen, etc. Great location, super staff, and great breakfast. Clean rooms, great service, questions answered,(questions answered fast via Email before my trip also) money exchanged, all great. I would give this an excellent rating for its "budget range", but it is not the "Astoria" But I have to... More

Good location which is next to the metro. Easy access to all the attractions in shanghai. There are lots of shopping malls in the vicinity where there is wide range of F&B choices to choose from. The high end shopping street is just right behind the hotel which you could access by foot. Room is spacious and comfortable. A large... More

The Ruitai Jingan Hotel is in a modern part of Shanghai where there are restaurants and shops nearby and is easy to get to. Metro line 2 goes from the airport to the hotel in about one and a half hours at a cost of 7 RMB. From the airport line 2 terminates at Guangan Rd. station so you have... More

Staying in Jing'an

Neighborhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
