I stayed for one night at the end of a business trip. I stayed in a club room in the main building. This was my 5th stay at the hotel. Once again. Excellent service from the staff throughout the hotel. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable. I look forward to my next stay.

Stayed here because close to my niece. Very accommodating staff. Concierge needs to be a little more helpful. Any problem we came to with (directions, recommendations) were not resolved. Wish we had received breakfast with our stay, but it wasn't included with our reservation. Room very nicely appointed with a great view of the city. Beds were comfortable and cozy.... More

The crown plaza is a great hotel and in a great area. You can walk to a MEGA mall five minutes away. Everything you can think of is in this mall! The hotel is wonderful, great breakfast choices,,,all you can eat! Really enjoyed our stay there!

Huge hotel with very central location. Unlike many other locations, getting a taxi is not an issue. Good breakfast spread and quiet rooms. Though the quality of room varies from one tower to another. In the campus tailor is good. Liked laundry service too. Excellent service level.

Location is somewhat good. It's not exactly in business district, several one way streets around makes it difficult to get a taxi. Rooms do need renovation, the hotel has some years and the rugs in the room don't smell so nice. We stay mostly in their club floor, there the service are quite good. The pool has been under renovation... More

I stayed at this hotel in Dec 2-15 for 3 nights. It is in a good location to go to the Free Zone. The staff was friendly and had a good level of English. The buffet breakfast was good and complete. I went for dinner at the restaurant and even if the menu was limited, the meal I took were... More

Stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and found the stay solid, but not 4 or 5 star. Breakfast buffet was very good but not great. Room was excellent....quiet and comfortable bed! I was disappointed with the fitness center which is a priority especially with a long stay. The machines are rusted and very worn. The room had a faint... More

The rooms are really very comfortable, and have all the possible amenities (water boiler, separate desk, great lighting, comfortable beds and pillows). Super bathrooms (separate shower and what a tub!). What struck me right away when arriving in the reception area, is the fact that front desk and concierge now do speak a decent English. I can remember that a few years ago... More

The hotel is over 20 years old. The service is still good. The location is not fantastic. But quiet. The room facility needs upgrade again. Buffet remains good quality. Chinese restaurant on the second floor is of very good quality. It is quiet also.

I just stayed there for three weeks and I am fairly happy with the hotel, having stayed there in the past it seems to have improved since the new tower was added, good enough room with a huge bath, the area around also seems like it is improving fast at the moment with alot more bars and restaurants around compared... Staying in Gubei / Hongqiao / Minhang

Neighborhood Profile
Gubei / Hongqiao / Minhang
West of Shanghai’s better-known business, cultural and entertainment centers, lies an expansive area of residential neighborhoods peppered with lifestyle pockets that have their own unique attractions. The schools have formed pockets of international communities throughout Gubei, Hongqiao and Minhang. Quite a few entertainment and shopping centers have built up over the years to cater to these communities. While living here means you are relatively far away from Shanghai’s usual hot spots, the large parks, spacious homes and proximity to great Japanese and Korean food keep the neighborhoods popular.
