First of Shanghai is a great place to go to highly recommend, But to top it all off you need to go to this breathtaking hotel, It has the cleanest rooms, Spectacular service and amazing time, This is what makes the world great, Being able to go to great place with a great roof over your head. Thank God for four seasons. (You know what Tony Stark said! Never go to a country doesn’t have a four seasons!)
I stayed till the weekend after my meetings done. Planned to relax at the pool. While on both Saturday and Sunday mornings there were kids training in the swimming pool and even with coaches. The whole pool was occupied and the coach whistled loud. Totally a swimming school... The front desk just said sorry and didn't want to do anything. I doubt the management fully aware this training thing and it happens regularly. Cannot believe it happened at Four Seasons! I stayed at Four Seasons in many countries and always felt the hotel were very well managed until this time. Really shocking and disappointing...
The location of the hotel on Weihai road is close to the shopping area - starbucks coffee and nice to walk around. The hotel will be under renovation later in the year - but the service is excellent and staff really most helpful - love the hotel
A very good hotel, however on the high side for staying in Shanghai. If you have the money stay, otherwise there are better options. Good staff service at ground level. Nice places to eat not very far away, within walking distance.
Peter and his reception team made my stay which was for a three days business trip a real pleasure. The entire team was not only of help. In this very professionally managed hotel I felt like in a private atmosphere almost like in a boutique hotel but providing the standard of a 5star international hotel. Food, rooms and the entire hotel are super to relax after a long day of work or make your start into the business day a perfect one. Four Seaons Jing’an District is definitely my No. 1 choice when traveling to Shanghai. Convenient to stay, convenient to travel the city.
Upon entering my room after check-in: dirt on the floor - in several places; sticky stains on the desk and finger prints on the chrome toilet lever. I called the front desk to ask if they are sure my room was really fully cleaned before check-in, and described above. The front desk lady's response - in a very annoyed voice, I quote: "so what can I do about that now?" and "so you don't want the turndown service?!". I said it's all fine then and just to make sure next day would be properly cleaned - coming back next afternoon, still actual pieces of dirt (from the crumbling wall paint, it seems) and dust balls in several places, meaning it wasn't really cleaned - again. For a hotel chain that just had a major cleanliness scandal in China last year, one would think you'd try a little bit harder - and advise your staff not basically say 'f*** you' after a complaint about several clear indicators of poor hygiene standards. Worst stay in years of coming to Shanghai!…
A warm welcome and smooth check-in, Inès is very professional and gave a brief hotel orientation to me. Also, various kinds of breakfast and delicious food. Thank to billy and concierge team, a fabulous experience in Shanghai which makes me feel like home.
We stayed at Four Seasons for 5 nights in total and have enjoyed every minute of our time there. The location of the hotel is right at the city centre, and the metro station is two minutes walks away. It is very easy to get to French concession, xintiandi, huaihai zhonglu from here. We luckily got upgraded to a superior double room upon checked in. The room is so comfortable. I especially liked the bathroom (I think this was refurbished in 2016). Room is kept tidy two / three times a day, and the details (for example slippers put next to the bed during evening, curtain positions, drinking water etc) are arranged full of thoughts. The restaurant at G/F is great!! I was provided with Vegan menu which I found quite hard to get in China. My boyfriend loves the beef stew noodle 👍🏻👍🏻. When I had my birthday, it was such a surprise to see two desserts placed in my room, and a sweet birthday card from the hotel staffs. How lovely! I have to say I really enjoyed the stay and it will be my only choice whenever I visit Shanghai again.…
As a family, we often come back to Shanghai and have chosen to stay at Four Seasons for the past 10 years because of the convenient location, beautiful facilities and incredible customer service there. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff at Four Seasons is unlike that of any other hotel we have experienced so far, a huge credit to all of the wonderful staff. We would like to specially thank Billy Yang, David Hu and Clark for looking after us so well during each of our stays. They are exceptional members of the team at Four Seasons Shanghai, and their passion for helping others is evident in their ability to truly go beyond their jobs in order to not only satisfy the customer, but make them feel special, welcome and at ease. For instance, one time my daughter had a stomach ache and my wife was too busy looking after her to order dinner. Billy offered to organize dinner for my wife and porridge for my daughter. Not only was the food delicious (as it always is at Four Seasons!), but Billy’s generosity and kindness made us feel truly at home. For the next couple of days, the care we received from Billy, David and Clark, as well as from the other staff members ranging from housekeeping to the reception and gym staff has both thoroughly impressed us and made us feel cared for and at home. This and many other outstanding displays of customer service is what has kept us coming back to Four Seasons year after year. As stated above, we have been staying at Four Seasons for (actually some more than) 10 years, so we can confidently vouch for the quality of customer service that Four Seasons Shanghai provides. The welcoming doormen, friendly and efficient concierge, talented chefs, and lovely gym staff are what make Four Seasons one of the finest properties in Shanghai. As a result of the friendly atmosphere, we have come to know many of the staff at Four Seasons, including Billy, David and Clark, along with Sweet who we see at the gym, and have also struck conversations with many of the chefs. Not only is this our favourite hotel in Shanghai, but after visiting numerous other hotels all around the world, Four Seasons Shanghai (Puxi) excels in terms of customer service, and holds a special place in our hearts. In addition, Billy, David and Clark’s attention to even the smallest of things, like surprising us with handwritten cards, fruit platters and so much more has made the biggest difference to our experience with Four Seasons Shanghai. We would like to thoroughly thank them, as well as the entire team at Four Seasons, for making each of our stays as pleasant and enjoyable as the last. …
I stayed during the period where foreign dignitaries were in town so there were additional security measures in place. Despite that, the inconvenience caused to the other guests was kept to a minimum and I still managed to bring guests to the lobby bar for a drink (Thank God!). The rooms and restaurants are nice, which are consistent with what one will expect from a Four Seasons. What particularly impressed me is the service offered at the spa and the gym area. The young lady at the front desk (I recall her name is "Sweet") is indeed very sweet and helpful. I had a great stay and will certainly go again if I have stay in that area.
