Nice, clean rooms, basic but ok. Good front desk service, very helpful and accommodating. I had arrived in the early morning, reach the hotel before 7am. Though they could not check me in immediately as there were no vacant rooms, however, when the first guest check-out (around 8am) they quickly had the housekeeping folks to clean the room and check...

1/ nice location (3 minutes to the Jing'An Temple) 2/ low cost The room was tiny and a bit wet. Noisy. But, as I said, good for this price there a few fancy stuff downstairs. It takes time to find the room, since the layout is very complicated

If you are the kind of traveller that spends the least amount of time in their hotel room as possible, and only wants a quick feed to begin the day, then this is the hotel for you. It's conveniently located in Jing'an District, next to the temple, and walking distance to two subway lines (2 and 7). There's a wide...

I spent one night here in late April 2014. The hotel is hard to find as it is off the main road. Most cab drives will be able to find it for you but may drop you off at the curb and you will have to walk 200m or so to the front doors. The lobby was very clean and...

Spent 1 night before company's meeting as it is close where our meeting holds. The overall impression is terrible. It doesnt' look like anything speical compares with other budget hotel brands, as Hanting Seasons are so called higher level than others which I absolutely don't find. Location - Close to Jing'an Temple which is okay, it hides inside of a...

My thought when I browsed the internet: clean, bright, unique, decent. My thought after I checked-in "Oh My, 3 more miserable nights" Other than that, moldy toilet, towels smelt like chemical. Some kind of blue gluey matter was found on a towel rack in the shower, and not to mention that I found a spider in the shower. I received...

This hotel was dirty and our room reeked of cigarette smoke. So why 3 stars? 1) It was cheap, $60 a night, and my motto is that you get what you pay for. 2) The room was spacious and reasonably well equipped. 3) The location was good, two blocks from Jing'An temple metro station and near our friend's house. Some...

Staying in Jing'an

Neighborhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
