We stayed here during the holiday season. It was very busy, but every staff member was still very attentive to our needs. Rooms are a little smaller even with the upgrade, but it’s the norm in whole Asia.

Great location, well-appointed rooms, exceptional service. The lounge easily gets over-crowded with business travelers. Breakfast is not to be missed. A great property overall and highly recommended. Marriott sets the reference standard for the business traveler in China.
Very conveniently located to the Nanjing Road pedestrian mall, McDonalds, KFC, Mdm Tussaud's, metro etc. The staff were efficient. Buffet breakfast had a good spread. We also tried the seafood buffet dinner which was average, to our taste. The ala carte menu could do with...More

People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and
work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
