We enjoyed our two stays at the Wyndham. Clean, smart, modern hotel with well appointed rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Restaurant which is average for China in prices. You also get a TV in your bathroom..!!! Indoor pool. Centrally located and not far to city centre or trip to airport. Only one small drawback. Wifi only free around Reception. Added cost...

The entry is quite impressive and the rooms are pretty comfortable and well equipped. The windows were dirty and looked like they hadn't been cleaned for years. The hotel is quite a distance from the good parts of shanghai and I wouldn't recommend walking. The staff generally don't speak good English , but you will find one or two that do,...

East Bund is NOT the Bund, the hotel is far away from everything including the actual Bund (closest subway station is 20min walking and it takes to transfer to another line to actually get to The Bund), the hotel expects you take a taxi for everything. Also, the hotel is not very clean, the carpet of the 32th floor was...

This is a great hotel, comfortable and clean. The only issue is you will have to take a taxi to the Bund or the tourist areas in Shanghai. Not expensive but time consuming. Front desk is very helpful to find transportation. Breakfast is ok not to fancy

We arrived after an 11hour flight on 28 of May to begin a 10 day tour. The room was large and comfortable. There were lots of things to see within walking distance. We stayed 2 nights and would certainly be happy to stay there again. The buffet breakfast provided a good choice of both Chinese and Western foods. Not knowing...

A great hotel but looking rather old and in need of some TLC. It would have been magnificent in its prime. Restaurant was in need of a good vacuum which hadn't been done after breakfast and still had a noticeably dirty floor at lunchtime. Service was excellent by comparison with Beijing Hotel and staff able to speak English which was...

There are stories in the hotel, great for picking up souvenirs. It also has ATM and currency exchange machines, so it's convenient to pick up local cash if you're running short. The restaurant is really busy due to conventions, so go later if you can. (breakfast is done at 10am). Rooms are large, like suites. The washroom is hugh with...

The hotel was once quite elegant but is now a little tired and worn around the edges, eg: some of the marble tiles in the lobby were broken around the edges but everything was spotlessly clean. Our room was large with automatic opening curtains (more of a novelty than a necessity), armchair, desk and a huge stain on the carpet....

The guest rooms are big, clean and inviting. As you enter your room, place your room key in the master control slot and the window blinds open automatically. The bathroom is large and modern but runs light on bath towels with only 2 per room. Most top hotels sport 4 big bath towels. The Wyndham may have rated higher if...

The room was large and roomy with very comfortable beds. The bathroom was big and a little different to the usual with opaque glass doors for the toilet and shower. Handy location with interesting views across the older houses and apartments with the city skyline in the distance and walking distance to shops and a shopping centre.
