Great journey! Enjoy Shanghai and stay in this guesthouse on the main subway line. Best price in town for a double room (but without window...). Nice staff and good English speaker (better than me!). Special word about the Tsing Tao at 8Y for 660ml!

This place feels more like a hotel than a youth hostel. TBH this is not a place you'd want to stay at if you are expecting to meet some new people to explore the city with although I managed to make some new friends during my stay.

A room with an ensuite and a window was a great value, as long as you are the type who leaves and comes back at the end of the day. Too far if you like to come back in the middle of the day. Close to Hongwiao airport and rail station if you are going out that way, so it...

Hostel is located 5mins from the metro station which you will be needing if you are staying for more than just a night. Other than that there isn't much opportunity in the area however this is somewhat reflected in the price as its one of the cheapest hostels available online. Stayed in the dorm which was spacious, with good lockers,...

I met up with friends in Shanghai for three days, two nights. We were looking for a convenient place to stay for a good price. The rooms were comfortable and the hostel is located near the metro (Shanghai has a great metro system). Highly recommend if you're looking for a safe, inexpensive, comfortable place to stay for a couple nights.

Its located near a metro station line that connects to both airports, very handy. The staff were nice and could speak a fair bit of English. The room was very small for three beds, essentially a normal 1 bed room with three single beds crammed in. No room for luggage. The shower walls were class and made showering and using...

The hostel is located near the Metro Line 2, turn right out of exit 2, then cross the big road diagonally (over then left) and it's down a street with plenty of small stores. Room was ok (6 person sharing bunkbeds) but en suite bathroom was disgusting, no toilet paper or anything. Guys on the stairs also smoking weed too....

Firstly, this hostel is not located in the heart of Shanghai, however it is a short walk to a metro line, so other areas of Shanghai are easily accessible although with a commute. Around the hostel are a few eateries and there is a supermarket within walking distance. The facilities were satisfactory however on our last night the aircon broke...

Cheapest lodging by far in the wealthy city of Shanghai. Tucked into the corner at the end of a row of shops, the place is opposite a bus station (last stop for 196) and a short walk from the 北新泾 station. Dorms are well structured with a separate bathroom per dorm. Lockers and bedside amenities are provided. No elevator, so...

I stayed here for three nights. The friendly guys at the reception, speaks good English. The lobby also going nice company in the evening, you can chat with...

West of Shanghai’s better-known business, cultural and entertainment centers, lies an expansive area of residential neighborhoods peppered with lifestyle pockets that have their own unique attractions. The schools have formed pockets of international communities throughout Gubei, Hongqiao and Minhang. “It old and smell. So possible, the room is quite same.”

“If you happen to stay in the 6-bed male dorm reachable only via the roof terrace, be sure to check if you have a good wifi signal. If not, the people at the reception might give you the wifi password of the room of the cleaning ladies (who are unaware of this) which is close to yours. Also, ask the staffmember that shows you your room how the AC works. We had some trouble figuring this out”

“Choose a private room, they are not that much more expensive and it's worth it, as the dorm rooms have a lot of guests who wake up early and go to bed early, which may not suit a lot of young backpackers lifestyle.”
