Stayed here with a tour. I remember Howard Johnsons from years ago and this hotel is not anywhere near that. Very nice hotel. Staff is good, and food is fine also. Drain in the shower was more for show than function as door had large gap & the extra drain in the floor took care of the river of water... More

I go to my own travel is in Shanghai. So I choose the hotel near the Shanghai airport. This is a bad choice. It is far from the city center. Although near the airport, but the location is hard to find, many taxi do not know the place. And then, check-in need to pay 1000RMB security deposit, I don’t know... More

I have written many reviews and have never given a bad rating. BUT, this hotel was terrible. Our shower leaked out the side of the tub onto the floor due to the construction of the tub. They had to have known this because the bottom 1/3 of the door was warped and the veneer pealing off. Staff was awful. Long... More

Nice big rooms, a little dated but luxurious. Far from action. Subway 10 minute walk. Food was average. Great lobby. Friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was nice. Shanghai is a great city. Ask for one of the rooms with the extra sitting room. They give them out at no extra cost.

The Hotel was very impressive. The rooms are lovely, but like most things in China, lacked a little maintenance. For example the edges of wall-paper were frayed, and some minor paint peeling. There was also a faint bad smell coming from the bathroom, that you notice each time you go back to your room. The buffet breakfast was huge, possibly... More

I visited this hotel on business in October 2016 and can honestly say this is the worst hotel I've stayed in. I have stayed in very run down hotels in India but nothing competes to this hovel. Upon arrival we found the hotel close to the NECC and grand in size but DO NOT let those 2 factors fool you,... More

Stayed overnight on a business trip. The rooms are old and in need of upgrade. Nothing is around the hotel as well. The only reason for me to stay here was because it is the closest hotel to Hongqiao railway station. I would avoid staying in the hotel for a longer trip to Shanghai.

The Hotel used to be probably a 5 star one, but it is now old, Rooms would need a total refurbishment. Also the cleaning would need to be improved. The staff is friendly, decent English at the reception, can't say anything about the restaurant o the bar as I did not use them. The location is the worse aspect. it... More

Positive notes: the hotel is a good hotel. Beautiful in the front and inside. The rooms are very good. Plenty of hot water in the beautiful bathroom. Beds are very comfortable and rooms clean. Standard to higher end amenities are available. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Free shuttle to the airport and train station. Negatives: The restaurant food was... More
