Stayed here for 5 nights from 9th July. My room was 1262. The rooms are furnished decently. Bath rooms are nice as well. Beds are comfortable. However the air conditioning is weak and the room is warm even when I set the temperature at 18. Room service menu had all of 12 dishes including beverages!

Of course at the HuaNa one knows that one is in China. (To communicate in anything but Chinese one must embark upon mime and interpretive dance.) But the hotel is far from the downtown area, and shopping, street-life, cafés, and restaurants are sadly absent. I suppose that the large buildings near the hotel, which seem to house not families or... More

A solid business level hotel (4 star). Very clean rooms that are a good size. Not a lot of English spoken at reception desk but we survived! Breakfast on 15th floor is quite good as well. Best of all was the excellent teppanyaki restaurant recently opened - beautifully decorated and for 330 rmb really good set of fod incl beef.... More

Stayed here from 23rd through May 28th in room 1068. When i got in, i noticed the room was very warm, and aircon was not working (room was 20 degrees).. Went downstairs to complain... They could not understand a word i said. had to resort to sign language, even when i asked for someone who could speak English. No English... More

Stayed at Huana Hotel for 5 nights in Jan 2016 as it was close to where I was working. Hotel is relatively modern and rooms are well appointed with good facilities. However, the 13th floor is a floor below the restaurant and you can hear the noise from the restaurant, especially chairs and tables being moved around. If you like... More

If you go to Shanghai having business in Minhang district, exhibition or meeting in the area, then Huana is a smart choice. If flying Hongciao, just take about 20 minutes drive to hotel. The hotel itself is quite extensive with several blocks of apartment, the style generally speaking is truly Local Chinese style, with high ceiling in lobby, most furniture is... i stayed there for 3 nights since my company was holding conference in the exhibition center near by. it's nice hotel with bargain price. however, their internet service was very poor, each room has its access point, a little green box on the table. i could successfully made an internet call on the 1st night, however, failed to do anything... This is a decent quality hotel, the rooms are large and nicely furnished. In common with most of China the internet connection was a bit 'come and go' but every room has its own mini wifi hub, so that end of the connection is pretty good. The only odd thing with the rooms is that the bathroom/toilet is separated from... More

This was one of the good hotels i found in Shanghai. Though the price was little on the higher side, but the rooms were good. I stayed in a suite room, and the room was well decorated. The only thing missing was a Microwave oven which we generally find in some of the suite rooms. The hotel is a very... More

Staying in Gubei / Hongqiao / Minhang

Neighborhood Profile
Gubei / Hongqiao / Minhang
West of Shanghai’s better-known business, cultural and entertainment centers, lies an expansive area of residential neighborhoods peppered with lifestyle pockets that have their own unique attractions. The schools have formed pockets of international communities throughout Gubei, Hongqiao and Minhang. Quite a few entertainment and shopping centers have built up over the years to cater to these communities. While living here means you are relatively far away from Shanghai’s usual hot spots, the large parks, spacious homes and proximity to great Japanese and Korean food keep the neighborhoods popular.
