The hotel location is good, the decor has a sense of luxury. The soundproof system is very bad in the room. The service up to standard. The rooms are average sized, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful.

Being a guest at Puli is always a treat. This hotel got a lavish interior design , chic and elegant. Of course the staff is always polite and smiling, very helpful in many ways. But the beauty of Puli appears truly when you enter your room. My last one was 1001. Spacious, widen crafted, high ceilings and perfect matress and pillows. The bathroom with the skyline view is breathtaking, amenities are fantastic as well. I enjoy the room service, spicy noodle and red wine are my good friends in this lonely moments of after work. Morning wise, a splash in the pool is a must. This kind of hotel you may call home.

This review is for the concierge service, specifically a guy named Frankie that helped us during our 3-day stay there. When we got to Shanghai Airport, our luggages were missing so the airport staff gave us some estimate time when it would arrive and the number to call. When we got to Puli, we told Frankie the situation and he said he would help us call and check in with the airport. The next day, Frankie called and they said the luggage would be there. 2 days later, we still didn’t get our luggages and asked Frankie and turned out he didn’t follow up with the airport at all. It took us 4 days to get our luggages back - partly because Frankie didn’t call and check in on the airport to make sure that the luggages get there as soon as possible. Very disappointing and kind of ruined the whole experience since I didn’t have any of my clothes with me for 4 out of 5 days in Shanghai. We also asked Frankie to purchase our tickets to a museum by teamLabs. When asking if the museum is open on Monday, he assured us that it would be and that we could go on Monday. We got there and the museum was closed and imagine how we felt! Overall, the service was so below average that didn’t match what should be the service of a 5-star hotel. No attention to details and no customer focus mentality that I generally expect from a luxury hotel.

I have been in this hotel many times and is totally out of the standards of 5 stars hotel. The definition of urban resort is perfect because is a kind of refuge in the heart of town. Room are well equipped , modern. The service is good even the should improve the level if English of employees ( considering that 95% of guest are foreigners in this hotel ) The restaurant with 1 Michelin star is in accordance with European standards and serves nice french dishes. The concierge and the front desk manager always very kind an professional

1. House keeping came at 9:10 AM to ask if I wanted my room to be cleaned - never have I encountered this with Ritz Carlton and they only speak Chinese ( please take a cue from W who trained their staff in basic English 2. Asked for waffles but I got pancakes for in room dining And when they delivered pancakes, no butter was provided. 3. USB cable charger next to bed - doesn’t work 4. No personal greeting when checkin despite I being a 5 time coming back to the hotel. No cold towel nor tea served for checkin. How is this a luxury hotel? There’s barely attention to details in their way of service
