One of the World’s Highest Hotels – Park Hyatt Shanghai Spanning the 79th through 93rd floors of the Shanghai World Financial Centre (SWFC), Park Hyatt Shanghai has been established itself as the city’s leading ultra-luxury hotel and the first to bring true sophistication to Shanghai. The interior of Park Hyatt Shanghai has been created by the award-wining New York-based designer Tony Chi of tony chi and associates, with respect to traditional Chinese geometry and architecture, while providing all the comforts of a stately modern home. To preserve the quality of the product and the level of service and attention to detail, the number of guestrooms has been limited to 173. The standard rooms, measuring 55 to 60 square metre (592 to 646 square feet), coupled with the generous 3.1-metre ceiling height. Unique, memorable dining and wining experiences are offered at the choice of restaurants featuring Western, Japanese and Chinese cuisines, or guests can just take in the view above the clouds while sipping a signature cocktail in the highest bar in Shanghai. The hotel is also home to the renowned Water’s Edge spa, a relaxation zone for guests to restore harmonious balance to body and mind.

Firstly I just want to caveat that I understand that during these COVID time(s) in China that hotels have lost a lot of staff / business especially from foreign business travel and that all amenities etc. may not be up to scratch. Me and my partner stayed here to enjoy a lovely staycation at a hotel. Here are the pros: 1) View is amazing 2) Staff are lovely 3) Rain shower / bedding is awesome Cons: 1) You can hear neighbors v easily (can hear screaming kids etc) 2) Room Service is way below par from what you'd expect from a hotel in this price range (e.g. Club sandwich was described to have Ciabatta but came with brown bread) 3) Rooms / Interior are slightly dated with wear and tear (electrical sockets at odd angles, scratch marks on glass tables, sink isn't level so water collects in one corner) - overall needs a face lift 4) Called Room Service 3 times, only once did they speak english (from desk were awesome and helped me order, and my Chinese isn't terrible so we eventually got around it!) We spent quite a lot of $ on this staycation but eventually checked out in the middle of the night and went home. My partner and I have stayed in quite a few luxury hotels over the years for staycations/travel and we both felt this experience wasn't up to scratch (I am sure I sound like a princess which I understand). As a couple(s) who wanted to do a staycation at an amazing hotel, have some peace and quiet, and overall just getaway from the hustle and bustle of Shanghai while being lazy and ordering some tasty food, we both would not return to the PH Shanghai - at this price point I felt we just weren't getting anywhere close to the experience we wanted. The views are great and the staff are lovely!

This hotel had a breathtaking view of Shanghai. Located from 79th floor to 93th floor, I was able to overlook the Huangpu River. You can always trust the service from Park Hyatt. The service was exceptional. This is the tallest Park Hyatt in the world and you don't want too miss it!

For a weekend staycation, I picked this hotel for the view, but got much more in return. Although a bit pricey, it was worth every penny for the experience. Front desk staff were especially awesome and friendly, addressed us by our names every time they saw us, and catered to our requests. I look forward to another visit in the future for a quick getaway high above the busy city.

I have had the privilege to stay in many hotels all over this beautiful world. This particular stay, at Park Hyatt Shanghai has been my most memorable experience to date, and it was all with great thanks to the entire team, who provided a level of service that went beyond my expectations. Thank you so much for this memorable life experience!

If one expects an ordinary business hotel this is fine. At a convenient location at the Lujiazui CBD - close to business meetings. But it falls below the expectation one may have for Hyatt's flagship brand. The amenities are shockingly limited. A lobby bar that runs out stock of white wine would be a surprise enough. But there's more. The gym operates until only 11pm. The bar is closed - not sure if permanently. Allegedly COVID is causing these issues. But obviously not at other hotels in Shanghai (or China generally). Service is mediocre. The housekeeping staff is actually fine. But the front desk lacks both the capability and willingness to help. They chat and laugh at their own mistakes, when they had to make calls to verify simple things, without sincere apologies. Line to room service takes at least 30 seconds to get unanswered - and again a hold of several minutes to get transferred. Doorman had no intention of providing the usual courtesies of holding the door or helping with car transit. Hardware is showing ages. There are possible molds on some wooden parts. Metal parts are somewhat rusted at places. Rooms are on the smaller side - especially by Shanghai standard. The windows (or maybe the wall?) sometimes generate a strange cracking noise - small but disturbing. What also surprised me was the lack of sense of confidentiality by the front desk staff. I overheard while checking in someone asking in which room a certain guest is staying. The front desk immediately started searching the database. I didn't stay to observe if the information was eventually provided, but it didn't occur to me that the staff had any concern of sharing such information. For a quick stay between business meetings, this is a fine place with all the basics. But there are many good hotels nearby - I'd say the Ritz and the Grand Hyatt are obvious better choices.

arrived around 8:10pm and was told that all restaurants will be closed at 8:30pm and even room services will be stopped at 9pm. We were directed to the basement shops and restaurants and they all are closing around the same time (9pm or so). It felt like being in a ghost town! The room was quite big and high ceiling makes room bigger, but the room decor was poorly done with bad taste and plain wall. Used the pool next morning and the water was not clean and smells bad. It doesn't justfy the rates it charges (more than RMB3,000 a night) and I would not return to this hotel again!

Luxury is personal. My girlfriend and I came here for our anniversary. When we came in the suite, we immersed in the luxury environment and the arresting view and enjoyed the sparkling wine and chocolate prepared by Park Hyatt. The best gift is the welcome letter from Park Hyatt Shanghai with our names and their wishes for us. This is definitely the most memorable anniversary experience for us and appreciate all staff at Park Hyatt Shanghai. Only via Park Hyatt, can you understand the luxury in Hyatt way.

I would like to recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to Shanghai for any occasion. The staff at the hotel are courteous and helpful. And it's just at such a great location, and you can't not beat the view or the convenience offered by this place.

The hotel is located at the 2nd biggest building in shanghai, which makes it already a amazing spot. But the service and the pool area are not matching the price and 5 star ranking, we wanted to swim but the pool room was such cold that we had to give up our plan. The room is nice designed but a bit small
