Two week business stay in May 2014 in an excellent hotel. I checked out in the middle of my stay to take a trip to Beijing. First week on 12th floor with a great south facing view, second week on the 15th with a less than impressive rear view. Both weeks in all aspects were superb. The rooms are spacious,...

Perfect for business. Everything you want really, I only gave it 4 instead of 5 as there are so many amazing hotels in shanghai, I don't know if deserves to be called the best, compare to some others, but restaurant was fine for breakfast, decent sized pool and gym, service friendly, although not many people working on desk, I liked...

In my opinion, Swissotel is one of the best business hotels in Shanghai. Relatively efficient (it is China..), nice location, high standard, though not as Swissotel in Singapore. This time, I found that the staff at the front desk was not very polite, and the level of English was very low. I am a returning guest, and i had a...

It is very good hotel for a very fare price. The metro is closeby or you can ask for a taxi. The rooms are very nice with a good bed, also the bath room is inviting you to take to take a shower. The best thing in the room is the nespresso coffee.

This is a comfortable, convenient, well-priced hotel particularly if you are on a business trip. Checking in and out of the hotel is painless, and the doormen attentive with your luggage. Housekeeping are non-intrusive, in fact you never see them (some hotels always have housekeeping carts in the hallways) whereas at this hotel it was all done quickly, quietly and...

Staying in Jing'an

Neighborhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
