Booked this hotel on a "Mystery 4 Star" deal through Wotif. I was very nervous after looking up TripAdvisor once I knew hotel name.
Well... we were pretty happy / lucky.
I requested non smoking, and quiet room. We got room 6033, well towards back...More
I wish TripAdvisor allowed me to award this hellhole zero stars. Filthy, smelly, smoke filled, gross hotel. Carpets are filthy, torn wallpaper in room, mold in the bathroom, corridors are a filthy mess, smoke fills the halls and our non smoking rooms smells as if...More
Supposedly 4 star boutique hotel.
Outside and reception area looks decent.
Room was rundown with wallpaper peeling and stray hairs on the bedsheets. Bad mould and mildew in bathroom, on ceiling, around sink, around shower.
Toxic smell in room and looked like there had been...More
Rooms where terrible, specially the bathrooms where you would find mold and mildew on the ceiling and walls. Staff really not helpful or nice. Will not go out of their way to help you out. Only good thing about this hotel is that it is...More

Shanghai’s original walls live on in the curve of the streets that serve as the border to the old city. An aerial view shows a clear circular outline and parts of the original wall are preserved as monuments to the ancient past. The main tourist attraction of Yuyuan (which means Yu garden, though it is often redundantly referred to as Yuyuan Garden) draws hordes of tourists every day, but wandering the streets around the
complex reveals more exciting attractions such as food and antique markets. There are also streets lined with shops peddling everyday wares such as Chinese dining ware and craft notions that can be even more enticing to visitors uninterested in the usual tourist fare.

I always used Taxi (cab) from Pudong Airport to hotel & it cost me RMB 160 to RMB 170 and will take 40-50Minutes.. I would agree that there is language problem but if you have the address in Chinese (with map) then there is no problem.. Once you will come out from exit area after collecting your luggage (in building only) , you will find sign for taxi stand, just go there & you will find taxi stand. Here you will not face any problem, since here airport staff is arraigning the Cabs.. If you need I will send you the hotel card in Chinese (scanned copy).
