I generally love this place, but was very disappointed at my stay this past week. There was no bellman to help with my luggage. I had to pull it up the driveway from the street and down a laneway to the "entrance" during renovations. There is a makeshift reception area and a very long wait to be served. Then you... More

Stayed here for about 3 weeks...single occupancy...it's a 2 BHK with very small second bedroom(didn't use it)...views from the balcony were good...Kitchen was nice with some basic tools & dishes...washing machine was there with some detergent powder...Washroom wasn't that big but it was good...the room service doesn't include cleaning the used/dirty dishes so you have to do it yourself which... i lived quite some weeks in MP. the rooms are smallish, not as small as howard johnson at yan an, which i also checked, but anything but fancy, with a tiny bathroom and a micro second bedroom. the kitchen is surprisingly spacious, but not equipped at all. the cleaning is done, but not properly. what is not on the main... If you need a place to stay for up to four people in downtown shanghai (or very much near downtown) and don't want to spend more than 530 RMB per night for up to four people per night then this is the place. What you get is an apartment with 2 rooms, queen size bed and a single bed plus... More

The apartment had 2 bedrooms, 1 bath a living room, dining room and kitchen. The kitchen included a washer and dryer, refrigerator, stove top, microwave. We stayed for 2 weeks, so this it was great to be able to wash clothes and eat in the room for some meals. We were there for Lunar New Year, so the breakfast had... More

Value for money hotel. Accommodation is massive - I think I had two bedrooms, living room, kitchen. They have a gym on the property which is pretty decent standard and has a pool. They have a breakfast/dinner downstairs which does half decent Western style food. Local restaurants close by, including a very decent Yakatori next door. To go to/from airport... More

When I visit Shanghai for business it's usually for 12-14 days. It is really nice to stay in a two bedroom apartment instead of a hotel room. Full kitchen but no western food prep or eating utensils. Wasn't a big deal went to Carrefour and picked up a few things and some pretty good French wine. The living room has... More

Almost accesible to everything and anything! Good choice for families, spacious and clean. I did not like particularly the location of the pool which is inside a gym, and you need to pass through these people doing their work outs before finally you get to the pool..and after the long walk ....no clean and dry towels available! had to borrow... Choose patiently this hotel if you want to spend time in Shanghai. It's not a real hotel, this is an appartment. You get a big living room, Two bedrooms, kitchen (not well equipped like aren't any plates and important equippments to have something) and a balkony to feel the air if you want. The appartment otherwise well equipped with daly... More

If you want luxury and pampering, this is not for you; if you want a functional place to stay that is clean, safe, spacious and good value then this is for you, Not a conventional hotel, but with all the facilities, and more, that most people would need. This is an apartment with a large living room, double and single... More

Staying in Zhongshan Park

Neighborhood Profile
Zhongshan Park
The residential and commercial areas around the beautiful grounds of Zhongshan Park have never been considered particularly fashionable by a majority of Shanghai’s foreign residents, but plenty of expats do choose to live here. The park itself is a huge draw, providing a pocket of serenity in the middle of the metropolis. The area has its share of trendy shops with wares that can’t be found elsewhere, delicious restaurants with food ranging from fancy to affordable, and great hidden bars. Rents are also cheaper here than in other neighborhoods with the same conveniences. Aside from the obvious attractions, with its neighborhood fix-anything shops and pop-up street stalls that sell anything you need, you’ll never sacrifice Western comforts.
