Pricey, but You Pay for what you get, my wife, 1 year old daughter and I went during there once a year family time all inclusive in Dec- jan 2020 and we were impressed. Once our chartered flight with island hoppers landed we were transported through the jungle in a mini van hot and sweaty to the resort, it was like something you would watch on discovery chanel travelling up and down this dirt road mountain for 20 minutes to be brought to 5 star result resort that in the end you didn’t want to leave. Staff, service, bungalows, breakfast, lunch, dinner, deserts and resort itself was everything you would expect from 5 star resort yet Ridiculously remote, everyday we had a beach to ourselves, some days we thought we were the only ones there. New Years celebrations were impressive for an island. We strongly recommend putting this one on your list. We Look forward to our next time there again.

Bula, Thank you so much for taking the time to give us your thoughts from your stay back in 2019. The 2km (1 1/4 mile) journey from the airport to the resort is the first part of the adventure of staying with us. The fact that we are the only commercial development in the entire Northern Yasawa area means that you can have one of our 11 private beaches to yourself during your stay. Clients come to us to get away from the pressures of life and this will become even more important as we start to get the ability to travel again soon. Exclusiveness and remoteness in a small boutique setting is what we have been offering now for over 30-years - these things will be especially important to travellers in the post Covid future We hope we can welcome you back to the resort soon. The stay at Yasawa Island Resort was phenomenal, the staff were so friendly and accommodating, food was delicious with such great choice and variety each day. We stayed in a beachfront bure and the view was so worth it! We enjoyed the day trips to the caves and the beach picnic. We just wish we stayed longer to enjoy the resort more.

Bula, Thank you so much for your review. We really appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback. In these troubled times - Yasawa has been socially distancing for over 30-years and our unique location lets our guests unplug and experience barefoot seclusion. The overall stay was amazing the kids can have dinner with the rest of the kids from the island while you can eat at the main restaurant there is a list of activities the kids can do and some nights are movie nights but there is poor WiFi so you can’t watch or really call anyone but once in a while there is good WiFi the food is not the best the switch the menu up but it is ok to last you a good amount of days

Bula Thank you for your review. The resort makes a conscious decision not to have WIFI in guest rooms - just the front office area, restaurant and bar. The complimentary WIFI connection is good to download email, make a FaceTime call and social media posts - it is not ideal to stream movies. The philosophy is to unplug and relax when you stay with us. Kids sometimes struggle for a day or so to get off their devices - but then discover the joys of island life, hermit crabs, swimming, kayak paddling, snorkelling and the numerous activities, cultures and the environment. The inclusive Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner menus change daily and we try to incorporate a lot of local produce - we are blessed with an abundance of seafood, lobster, prawns, & crab sourced via the local fishermen. Seafood beach dinners under the stars are a speciality. Thanks for your feedback. Vinaka, James McCann Owner Yasawa Island Resort & Spa

My husband and I enjoyed our honeymoon here in February. Regina, Rob and the staff ensured we were taken care of. The transfer from Nadi to Yasawa was easy. We especially loved the snorkeling and diving; exploring the coral and local sea life was excellent. It was the perfect amount of attention from the staff; not too much, not too little. Thank you for having us!

Bula Laura, Thank you for your review and for staying with us for your honeymoon. Our remote location in the Northern Yasawa Islands means we have extraordinary beaches and wonderful marine life all to ourselves. Sadly with the Coronavirus in the world we have now shut the resort temporarily until the crisis is over. Luckily, Fiji is not experiencing the same levels of panic, confusion and illness like the resort of the world - so we hope to be up and running again when it is safe to do so. Your Yasawa family will be here to welcome you back. Vinaka James McCann Owner Yasawa Island Resort & Spa

We just went to Yasawa Island Resort on our honeymoon and it was perfect. Everyone was so friendly. Food was delicious (and I am super picky). The bure was absolutely phenomenal. It was larger than our condo and was right on the beach. Everything was clean and updated. The cocktails were amazing. Definitely order the Yasawa White Surf. I didn’t use any of my cosmetics because they supplied us with Pure Fiji shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. Regina and Rob greeted us with leis and a crown of flowers starting our trip off with so much excitement! We had a private beach picnic at Paradise 2 and experienced amazing snorkeling!!! We had a private dinner under the stars where my husband ate enough seafood for four people. There is no shortage of food. Swimming at the Resort (whether at the beach or the pool) is amazing and super convenient. We had a lot of privacy at our bure. The outdoor shower was so cool!! I was more of a big fan of the dual shower heads with the indoor showers. This place is truly paradise. We will come back again!!!

Bula Tabatha, Thank you for spending your honeymoon with us and we appreciate your wonderful feedback, I have passed on your wonderful comments to Rob, Regina and the team. Seafood dinners on the beach are an absolute highlight of a stay on Yasawa and we are very lucky to have the local fisherman drop their catch of Lobster, Crab, Fish and Octopus to the resort every few days. The uninhibited private island picnics on one of our 11 private beaches are an amazing highlight and we are so glad you were able to visit paradise beach during your stay. Thank you for your feedback. Vinaka, James McCann Owner Yasawa Island Resort & Spa
