We arrived in the poring rain and were greeted with such warmth and a super fabulous Bula style welcome. We were ferried straight to our one bedroom Auberge beach villa (210) with our check-in done in our villa. It was breathtaking to arrive and take in an incredibly well appointed villa with not only direct access to the beach but views from our bedroom across our private pool and to the ocean. Even the rain could not dampen our spirits, we were so pleased with the villa, how well it was appointed but also how aesthetically pleasing our room was. This villa would definitely be one of the better options in Fiji currently with an international elegance whilst retaining a contemporary Fijian flare in the actual architecture. Great kitchenette with all the bits and pieces you could require should you wish to stay in the villa and cook for yourself. We loved the bikes that are provided with the villa. Such a fun addition. Service was outstanding right through out our 3 night stay. The staff shine here. Everyone remembers your name and your likes & dislikes. Some of the best service and attention to detail we have experienced since moving to live in Fiji. We loved our stay so much we stayed an extra night but we also booked to return in a few months. Well done to the entire team of Nanuku, what a gem!

Nanuku is an oasis in Fiji. The staff are so well trained, but also genuine people that truly seem to love being in the service industry. The hotel itself is an incredible mix of the old style, island culture and stunning modern amenities and deisgn. From the smallest details to the larger interactions - like dinner service- everything was impeccable. I would go weekly if I could!

How grateful my husband and I are to have stayed at this beautiful place. It's truly paradise in every way!!! We stayed in the owner's residence for our 30th anniversary and nothing could have prepared us for what we would experience...absolutely nothing. We were there in February 2020. We booked directly through Fiji Airways and for a modest fee we submitted a "bula bid" for the opportunity to upgrade if any remaining 1st class seats were still available 24 hours before our flight. It was totally worth it to arrive well rested. Upon arrival, we were given a tour of the residence. Nicely furnished and stocked. There are several separate seating arrangements ( great for a larger group) all with fantastic views. On our bed was the message, "Happy Anniversary" written with fresh flowers. We could watch the sunrise and sunset from our bed...or go out on the wrap around balcony and enjoy the view overlooking the ocean from the signature swing, hot tub, infinity pool, or outdoor dining sets. View is surreal. The royal welcome, SiSi's morning bootcamp, the delicious kokoda dish, and the opulent accommodations are all unforgettable. In addition, we highly recommend the trip to the island. Pack a hat, sunscreen, and phone in a waterproof case for photographing coral underwater. The colors are AMAZING and you'll see much more out at the island than at the resort; although you'll still see plenty at the resort. Thank you Danny and Semi for making this excursion to the private island so special for us. We also enjoyed the waterfall hike. Took a scenic boat ride followed by a short hike to a romantic setting where we set up a simple picnic under the waterfall and listened to the water echo. SO peaceful. Wear shoes with a good sole and some support (Not flip flop sandals) My favorite excursion was the trip to the local village and a visit to a kindergarten classroom. Bale was so accommodating and patient with us as we contemplated which excursions we wanted to do. Vinaka vakalevu to all the beautiful ladies from your village who welcomed me at the community hall and showed me around your village, taught me to dance like a Fijian, how to cook in an earth oven, and educated me about the many medicinal benefits of plants. Truly a highlight of our trip! Attend the free cultural night put on by the resort if you can. You'll not only be educated and entertained, but you'll have an opportunity to participate in a kava ceremony too! If you have any interest at all in marine biology, and even if you don't, talk to Mojee about where to snorkel and what to look for and be sure to check out what he's doing with the resort's Mangrove Nursery. He earned his degree from a university in Australia and it's very apparent he loves what he does. I regret we didn't participate in the transplanting while we were there. I didn't realize until later that this is such a rare and delicate activity...I think offered only twice a year. The staff at Nanuku are extraordinary!!! All of them are native Fijian. It was hard to say goodbye to them. We looked forward to Paul's warm welcome every morning (and his good drinks too) and talking with Queenie about her family. Yes, I cried, as many of the guests do when they leave. The moments we experienced at this beautiful place will always trigger emotional feelings that we will carry forever in our hearts. Finally, we liked that all tips/gifts are given at the end of your stay during checkout and shared with all staff so that those working behind the scenes get recognized as well. Many heartfelt thanks to Logan for his warm hospitality and Charlotte for helping us with the reservations. We hope to see all of you again one day. Vinaka vakalevu Mike and Londa Gazall

Nanuku is exceptional and unlike any other place we've stayed. The staff is the resort's biggest asset. We've been twice now, and each time are blown away by their warmth, professionalism and attention to detail. We love the food, and the peaceful location. Nothing is too much trouble. The activities on offer are also unparalleled. Exceptional.

We were unfortunate enough to not arrive by our scheduled time due to flooding on the (only) road in to the resort from the airport. Can’t blame them for acts of nature, but set the tone for the week. After an unplanned night at the Warwick, we arrived the day after. We had to wait for over an hour for a room that presumably should have been ready the evening prior. The staff seemed confused when our children did not want to go to the kids club which I’m sure is great for families with (much) younger kids but our kids just wanted to hang with us. The guests were mostly American I suppose because the resort is an American owned resort. Overall, our experience was satisfactory, however, for the price and location, we will not be returning.
