My husband and I booked for 3 nights over the Diwali long weekend and so wished we had booked for longer, We simply did not want to leave. Not only is the island magical but I think what makes the whole experience sing is the truly wonderful and professional staff. From reservations right through to all the friendly staff that are always at the ready to help, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We were upgraded upon arrival and loved our oceanfront Bure. Well equipped and appointed along with being tastefully decorated. The food was outstanding, every day, for every meal...not easy in Fiji. We also loved the variety in location everyday. We were fortunate to attend the first Rocks Party that happened to be on the weekend we were staying. Wow..so much fun. The food, the atmosphere, the views...we were transported to another world. We literally can’t wait for the next one. We throughly enjoyed doing the hikes around the island and kayaking to the private island opposite Vomo. The adults only pool is stunning and we loved having the option of 2 pools both with very different views. We also loved the snorkelling with the sharks. It’s hard to describe the beauty and privacy of Vomo and do it justice. We were so impressed not only with the spectacular views from every corner of the island but also the level of warm professionalism from the staff. All in all a fantastic holiday and left us wanting a whole lot more. Well done to Justin and his entire team who simply made our time on Vomo unforgettable.…
The First Ever Rocks Pool Party offered way more than i was expecting. They offered shuttle service (although we the first boat didn't get it when we arrived and some suffered walking lol) from the drop beach to the Rocks. What surprised me the most was the Inclusive Mediterranean Lunch (had no idea it was included) and our Group seating for Lunch had so much food it was insane also had a desert bar, down note for the tagine i thought the chef had overdone it with aromatic spice felt inedible, but the other stuff were divine.especially the spreads & pita dips. They offered great Drink & Bottle packages if their aim is to make it a Lux Beach Club Spot i think theyll need to offer better table side service or atleast have someone monitor tables/drinks away from the Bar which i didnt get. The Island Area is prestine, lovely beaches and the best spot has to be being able to Kayak to Vomo Lailai, the island is actually much further than it appears but the best thing is that the water level between them is quite shallow so its not intimidating. Nice Decor Furniture selection around the Rocks & that Infinity Pool is much bigger in person too. The Great Team were amazing and remembered our names throughout the day just superb. Great Experience all round and looking forward to the next one.…
We spent 4 nights on Vomo for our second wedding anniversary, as a second honey moon and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff went over and above anything we could have dreamed of; from personalised yoga on a deck with a breathtaking view, incredible guided snorkelling over vibrant reefs, the most divine couples massages, the worlds greatest ginger margarita and the food! We have lived in Fiji for 3 years and this is easily the best food we have eaten since we have been here. Great variety and every meal exceptional. They made our anniversary so special with a private deck decorated as beautifully as our wedding day, with serenaders and all. If you get the chance, you simply must come to Vomo!
We had a family holiday at Vomo with a 6 and 4 year old in tow. The Kids Village was fantastic and the kids actively sought it out, meaning my wife and I could genuinely relax. The resort has all your needs covered. The menu changed daily and each meal was excellent. The beautiful beaches were safe and I was comfortable letting the kids paddle about in the shallows with me. We stayed in one of the residences. The layout included a very generous one bedroom apartment as well as an additional two bedrooms in an adjoining building, all surrounding a fantastic private pool that overlooked the beach.
The minute you arrive at Vomo you feel all your worries melt away and the hardest decisions you will make are what to do and eat. Vomo Island is stunningly beautiful, with lots to do (daily snorkeling trips, the massages are great (they cost extra), scuba diving was fun (also not included), hiking and yoga, tennis, golf, water sports and fishing (extra)) and great food. The thing that made this trip stand out from the other beautiful tropical island we've been to (Bora Bora, Maldives, Seychelles) are the Fijians (and everyone at Vomo). They really make you feel at home and went out of their way to accommodate our every need, plus they are the nicest, happiest people you'll meet and we loved their singing and dancing - particularly Zac! His voice is lovely and he's a great guy. Other notable staff members were Tila & Fina (Main Restaurant), Turu & OJ (Ocean Play), Marica (reception) and Simele. The rooms were ever so slightly on the small side, if I'm being really picky, and not directly on the beach (we stayed in an ocean front villa). This didn't really bother us though as we spent most of our time enjoying ourselves in and out of the water. There are mosquitoes and we did get bitten, but we went during the wet season so it might be worse as a result. It rained once, very briefly. Another negative that did bother me was the bottled water - they are working on bottling their own water in glass bottles, but this was a big issue for us as we are environmentally conscious. They also don't need to change the towels and sheets every day and there was no 'do not disturb' option for the room - at least it didn't work for us. That said, it was a minor issue. The island was so quiet and the other guests were also lovely. They were all saying how great it was for kids (we were the odd ones out without kids). If you don't have kids you'll get more time to enjoy the Rocks bar, which was our favorite chill out spot - dreamy sunsets and canapés. Overall, I think they cater very well for families and couples. They say that in Fiji happiness finds you and it's true! We left feeling happy and very relaxed and can't wait to go back!…
