My wife and I went with 3 other couples as we were all turning 50 this year. From the moment we landed via helicopter the island and resort was like a wonderful dream. Small and intimate the staff were fantastic and all the people we got to know and meet were wonderful (although I do feel a little sorry for the lovely honeymooners who had to endure a group of loud oldies drinking and singing bay everyone opportunity). I can see why so many people return here. The feeling of ‘family’ is no marketing gimmick. The Fijian team all know your name and share warm and stories and laughs. Shout out to kris, Kara, Freddy, Mita and the dive guy ‘Fiji’ (don’t ever think I got his name as he just called out ‘London’ every time we met and I called him ‘Fiji’ and especially Ash (head chef) who all went above and beyond. What a wonderful trip and relaxing holiday. All of us agree it was the most wonderful holiday and want to return together every few years…
I really have no words to describe Tokoriki…because the words just simply don’t exist. I’ve been very fortunate to have spent the last 20 or so years traveling the world to many amazing places. Never before have I been moved to tears at the thought of leaving somewhere I was visiting, or to be more accurate, the people that were ‘working’ there. I honestly miss the people of Tokoriki every day. My partner and I were lucky enough to visit Tokoriki for our first trip overseas since covid hit 2 years ago. We were extremely excited for the trip, but couldn’t have imagined what was waiting for us at the Island. This was simply the greatest trip of our entire lives, and we feel so unbelievably humbled and privileged to have been given the gift that is meeting the people of Tokoriki. This place is pure paradise, any person who could leave with even a single complaint is clearly out of touch with life, it’s perfection. Besides the picture perfect location, a big mention must be given to the food. Chef Ash just blows it out if the water every meal, destroying any expectation we did or didn’t have. The food at Tokoriki isn’t just amazing for Fiji, it’s amazing full stop. I’ve stayed at a few other ‘high end exclusive resorts’ in Fiji and food was always the disappointment for me. But forget any pre-conceived notions you might have. Ash’s menu was delicious, fresh, full of amazing variety and gorgeous presentation. A total highlight for sure. For some added quirkiness and fun, Chef Alice and Muma deliver a fantastic evening at Oishii Teppanyaki, don’t skip them! But where Tokoriki shines is the incredible people. You can find a video online of Joshua, an amazing warm human being, saying “Tokoriki has a Heart”. We have all seen promo videos of ‘island paradises’ with claims like this. But at Tokoriki this couldn’t be more true. We honestly arrived as visitors and left as friends. You only have to look to the countless, 10, 20, even 50!! time return guests to understand this place is special. These people will have you leaving with the desire to be a better, kinder person. As I said, I just can’t begin to describe my love for the people, they are truly special. So much so, to single them out just wouldn’t be fair, they are all uniquely amazing in their own way. Having said that I will anyway! To my new friend Mosese, I miss your smiling face every day. Mosese exudes everything that is Tokoriki, one of my favourite people I’ve ever met and I can’t wait to come back and see him one day soon. Tokoriki Island Resort, the most wonderful place you could ever hope to visit in your life. …
My Husband and I stayed at Tokorki for 5 nights and had the most wonderful relaxing time. The Staff are what make this experience so special and from the moment you arrive you are welcomed Into the “family” We stayed in a beachfront Bure with a plunge pool, the room was decorated beautifully and the bed was very comfortable. The Resort is also set up in a way that you can enjoy your privacy or you can get to know your fellow guests Over a cocktail at the bar or a meal in the restaurant. I also chose to indulge in the 3 day unlimited Massage package which was heavenly. We would highly recommend staying at Tokorki and we are definitely planning on another visit.
We finally returned to Fiji following 2 years of COVD lockup in Melbourne. Back for the 21st time to Tokoriki Island resort - our piece of Paradise. We obviously love this place and it has evolved over the years to become a prefered destination for many people and rated at the top of the list for luxury reports in Fiji. But what we didn't expect was the extraodinary uplift across the entire resort whivh just blew us away. The resort gardens were lush and green and in beautifiul condition - just breathtaking. The Tokoriki team from the management down have always been unbelivably helpful and friendly but there seemed to be a new energy and spirit that prevayed everyone and that transferred to the guests reuslting in an atmosphere that was so enjoyable. Tokoriki has a soul that other resorts just cannot match. But the big change was the food. Chef Ash and his team with support of Greg presented a menu that was interesting, unique and of the very highest quality. The menu changed daily and the dishes were superb in both taste and presentation. I started diving at Tokoriki many years ago and love it. I have dived at many other places but the professionalism and friendliness of Will and his team is outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble and the numerous diving sites close the island are intersting and offer planty of variety. I can't praise these guys enough, it is diving at its best. Our accomodation was a beach front Pool Bure that was situiated close to the beach so easy to stroll 20 metres ot so to the water's edge. We had a deck overlooking the water between the palm trees and a plunge poll to cool off from a lie in the sun. The bure is well apppointed and very comfortable consisting of a combined bed and sitting room, a dressing room, bathroom, shower room and outside shower. All most adequate. There are also more sumptuous villas with day beds a seperate lounge rooms where have stayed as well. We have stayed at a number of luxury island island resorts in Fiji, in plenty are very nice places to stay. But nothing compares with Tokoriki in terms of the total package and, in particular, the culture and soul of the place that is simply unique. Tokoriki is the epitomy of your dream Pacific island paradise stay. We ca't wait to go again.…
Based on the other reviews and all the wonderful Instagram posts, we arrived at Tokoriki Island Resort with very high expectations and to say we were blown away is an understatement. This place is simply incredible ! My wife cried when we left and I did my very best to hold back several sobs !! We stayed at a wonderful beachfront pool villa (#3) which had breathtaking views and was a few gentle steps away from the clean, white sandy beach. The food was great - fresh, delicious, varied and abundant (beware, I chunked on close to 4kg in 7 days !!). Above all, the service was brilliant. The team, led by Patrice, Vincent and Penioni were always genuinely happy, smiling & laughing and went out of their way to make sure every moment at the resort was incredibly memorable. As you can tell, I'm now a raving fan of Tokoriki Island Resort and the incredible service is a major reason for why we'll be back every year. WE LOVED IT !!! …
The resort looks and feels just as amazing as it did prior to Covid. The fact the resort was taken care of over the pandemic speaks volumes as to love the staff and owners have for the island. The diving was amazing and the sea life was back in full force. This was our 3rd trip back to Tokoriki, and we will be back again soon.
My wife and I stayed her to celebrate our wedding anniversary recently and it was absolutely perfect. We could not fault our experience at all and cannot wait to return. The atmosphere was so serene as there are no TVs in the bules and limited reception so it was a great place to unwind and spend quality time with one another. Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming with their Bula spirit. We received a welcome (and farewell) song and personal greeting at the jetty when we checked in by Vincent and everyone makes an effort to make you feel like part of the family. The daily activities the staff run each day are very well thought out and inclusive and ensure there is always something to do (trivia, cocktail tasting, hermit crab racing ) in between relaxing by the pool The food was amazing as well, and we booked an oceanfront dinner to celebrate our anniversary. It was such a thoughtful experience and they serenaded us with a wonderful rendition. We had such a great time, and cannot wait to return to be part of the Tokoriki family again. Vinaka!!…
Tokoriki Island Resort is literally heaven on earth. On arrival, we took the catamaran into the island and once we docked we were greeted by Vincent who presented us with wooden necklaces and then with a group welcome song later. The reception team, the waiting staff (Kris and Mita) and the singer/warrior (Tom), cleaners and gardeners were beautiful to us and made every effort to know our names off by heart as well as to say Bula! as we walked by, kind of like angels on this heavenly paradise. As it was our honeymoon, we opted for the Jetty Dinner and Full Board Meals. The Jetty Dinner was worth every dollar and the resort's Chef made every meal with exceptional presentation and with a world of flavour. We also attended the Oishii Teppanyaki where our chef and waitress Mama made the experience very entertaining as well as delicious. The resort had also organised the Beachfront Breakfast for us as a kind gesture to celebrate our honeymoon, and the views were just as spectacular as the Jetty Dinner. Our accommodation (Bure with Pool and Beach Views) was very clean and it had its own pool and opened up to the beach. The complementary activities the resort runs provides plenty of things to do during the day or night (snorkeling, hiking, cocktail tasting, etc.). But do mind, Fiji in general is expensive if you were to compare it to the Australian dollar and cocktails there can be the same price as Australia (so you may find yourself racking up the bill with cocktails and massages). The one thing I can maybe fault is the Helicopter Transfer you can get onto the island, which might destroy some of the peace and serenity if you are just resting on the hammock. But, it is surely one way to make a hell of an entrance! However, there is anything else wrong about the resort; it's kept in immaculate condition, the activities were plenty and the staff were absolutely beautiful and friendly. I honestly wish I could go back or even just stay there. I hope this review gives everyone else who is interested in staying there a bit more idea on what to expect, but truely, expect your expectations to be blown out of the water! Thank you, Shirantha…
We arrived to the most warm and friendly greeting, welcoming us to the island as if we were family. Nothing is too much for the staff and the personal touches are amazing. We were treated like royalty and the staff genuinely love what they do and are always a joy to engage with. Our beach Bure was absolutely beautiful and a far cry from the sterile and clinical hotel rooms we have experienced at many 5 star resorts. The outdoor shower is beautiful and the secluded positioning of the Bure makes for a perfect private escape. The Bure decor is much like we have seen in Africa and it blends with nature so beautifully. The colours and the natural light are spectacular. The Bure was exceptionally clean and definitely private with a perfect view. The staff all address you by name & this personal touch complements their friendly and professional service. We had the privilege of meeting the resort Chef as we felt compelled to show our appreciation for the spectacular cuisine that is second to none. He was the most inviting, enthusiastic and talented man who should be proud of his work and his team. We cannot speak highly enough of all the staff, the marketing manager even came to greet the guests and ensure they were well looked after. I had issues with my phone and she went above and beyond to assist us to contact home. As mentioned, nothing is too much for the wonderful team at Tokiriki! We look forward to returning soon. We have just returned from Tokoriki and rate this as one of the best places we have been lucky enough to stay at. No concerns here re post-pandemic problems - everyone is back working and the Resort is in full swing. This beautifully decorated resort has been meticulously maintained and cleaned during the shut down. The executive chef is back providing 5 star quality food a la carte, the spa is humming with plenty of availability (even allowing for the limitless spa package where 2 massages per person per day are possible) and all of the professionally run boat trips are happening - we saw turtles and some of the best coral you will see anywhere just 15-20 mins from the resort. Arrive by helicopter, soak up the authentic staff welcome and be amazed by your beautiful villa or bure. The beach is long and sandy and incredibly clean so barefoot walks and swims in the warm water are a highlight. Many of the staff have been there for years and their friendly welcome and care in getting to know who you is exceptional. All this reflects an experienced and dedicated management team which along with the staff is the key to the resort's success. We are already looking forward to our next visit to this island paradise.…
