I have visited several properties over the past months to take advantage of the Love our locals campaign but I saved the best for a special occasion; my wife's 30th birthday. We knew that no other property can make it more special other than Castaway Island and we were surely not disappointed. As you are about to reach the island, Warriors come on both sides of your boat to welcome you and the beautiful welcome on island just sets the mood. There are a lot of complimentary activities on island like Kayaking, Snorkeling, hiking, Sailing etc and you can also pay for some other amazing experience like diving, dolphin watching etc. Most of all the staff are so lovely and friendly. Your kids will love the kids club activity and be sure to ask for Mickey Mouse(that's what the kids call him on island). If you are looking to celebrate a special event, the food & beverage and kitchen team can surely make it a memorable one for you and the serenaders just take you to a different world with their amazing singing. Pita & Koli from activities can assist you with some coral planting or snorkeling lessons If you love to travel Castaway is a must visit. We had an enjoyable time at Castaway Island Resort. Our bure was big and spacious with a serviceable kitchen. I only wish we could have stayed a few more days there. I loved the general ambiance of the place and the peaceful sea all around us. The food was delicious and not that expensive. And the staff were nice, courteous, kind and always ready with a 'bula' smile. The extra activities were simply fabulous. Peter (our snorkeling instructor) took me snorkeling in deep sea and showed me colorful corals and beautiful fish. And hands down I had the best massage on the island. Overall we had a fantastic time!

I enjoyed my stay and was surrounded by peaceful sea, lush vegetation and friendly staff. The food was exquisite and awesome reception by songs of welcome. The sea faring visit to see the dolphins was an absolute delight

What a beautiful way to spend a weekend! From the friendly and helpful staff to the delicious and very affordable food, the ambiance and the activities,the experience was quite amazing! To top it all off, we saw dolphins!!! That was indeed the cherry on the top! Would love to do another trip with the whole family! :) Thank you guys for a wonderful weekend!

I believe the “meal packs” are per room making it easy for the resort to mange billing, individual meal packs would make it too hard to track who is eating.
But we did upgrade to a meal pack on check in after seeing the menu prices it made sense and paid for itself

I would pay the upgrade without hesitation... the view, the beach, the beach bar (very basic and sometimes requires self service), the pizza restaurant and bar, water sports.... are all just a short stroll from your Bure... and when heading to castaway ... your cant count the cost of happiness and the perfect sunset views (with a beer or cocktail in hand) with money :)
