We spent 4 nights in Mana Lagoon Backpackers and we found really well. The staff Who works in the hostel is lovely: they are always keen to involve you in different activities (snorkeling, coconut jewels making, fijian lessons, kayaking, fishing, visiting village and his school, fire dance, volleyball) and teach you about the proper fijian culture. We stayed in a... More

My boyfriend and I booked a 7 night stay on Mana Island and cant express how much we reccomend this area to other backpackers. It's pure paradise! If you make the arrangements in Nadi through one of the travel agents (we went to a lady who worked at Bamboo Hostel) you get your last nights stay free, so don't book... More

Booked the stay from bamboo including the boat transfer. Arrived about 11.30 am on mana island , the sea is very very clear , sun was awesome. They located our room behind the check in counter as a private room. The amenities were very basic , toilet and bed , no electricity from 6am-6pm . Breakfast 8-9 lunch 1230 -... More

I can't agree with most reviews. Of course it is very basic but compared to other hostels it is so much better. I.e. it's better than the white sandy resort on yasawas which costs 110 FJD, so you can be happy to get this one for 55 FJD (4 night free). The food was excellent. The beach too. The staff... More

Staff is nice but hostel is very very basic. Every day same food mostly they gave you pancake, rice and noodles in the morning, lunch and dinner. When you asked different food they said no food. I thought this is not respectful. If you paid to food you should get good food at least different food. In the evening very quiet... More

Writing a review for this place is definitely challenging. There's no way around it, the hostel is very basic. The mattresses are super thin and the rooms aren't in the best shape. There is no hot water and there's no electricity during the day. Not what I pictured when thinking about vacationing in Fiji. The thing that saved the trip... More

Hello! The day i left Mana Lagoon I almost had to cry of the emotions I felt during the days lived here. This explains a lot about my opinion! :) It was an amazing experience. One that I will never forget and take with me forever. Nevertheless, people should be aware of the hostel situation. It is a very simple... More

We stayed at Mana Resort but tried out Ravis on the beach. Ravi came out to meet us and find out what we wanted to eat. We ordered the curry, roti, poppodams and it was delicious! We enjoyed it so much we came back for breakfast! Ravis is a great find!

This is advertised in Fiji as the 'cheaper island'. Although, it has everything that the other islands have and more in some cases. You can do some self-exploration around the island, partake in the daily activities that are run. The two brothers on the staff team were very kind to me, and made my stay memorable. They made me feel... More
