Lomani Island Resort shimmers with elegance, a boutique adults only Fiji resort created especially for lovers. Speaking of which, “Lomani” is Fijian for “love”. Set in the gorgeous Mamanuca group of islands, Lomani Island Resort has all the trimmings you’ll fall in love with too: tropical gardens meticulously cared for under the towering coconut palms of the Malolo lailai island, miles of white beachfront sand, pristine lagoons, and crystal clear waters gently lapping at a mesmerizing shoreline.

In short, this resort is as advertised. It is adults only, it is peaceful, it has wonderful food, great staff, plenty of water sports activities, a lovely spa and has cultural activities too. This is our first visit to Fiji and anywhere in the South Pacific, so I cannot indicate whether this is the best resort in the region. What I can say is that this resort provided everything that I had hoped for as a place to spend a one week vacation. We found ourselves saying Venaka (Fijian for "thank you") almost as much as Bula (Fijian for "hello"), as the service required it. The managers are on site and regularly visible, but the staff is so good at what they do it really ran without any additional assistance required. We had a beachside bure with pool. I enjoyed the small dipping pool but the main pool was so nice, the private pool really was not as important. The privacy of the beachside bure did, however, make it feel like our own private getaway. A lovely, lovely place. Is it the only one? I have no idea, but it is a place that I can highly recommend.

Lomani is a very nice resort with beautiful views, grounds and sunsets. This resort is more geared towards honeymoon couples and old people. I found that it is not really designed for the middle-age active crowd. Honeymooners spend their time in the room, old people sit and read a book by the pool or on the beach, active people are stuck in the middle with little to do other than snorkel. The reef that they take you out to just offshore is beautiful, I recommend you do it more than once. There is only one bar on the entire property and it is located in the lobby, not to mention there are only a handful of places to sit. A cold beer on a hot day would’ve been nice, unfortunately the beer wasn’t cold. The staff on property is very friendly and does a good job with the exception of those working in the main dining room. Don’t get me wrong, this is a nice resort, it just wasn’t what I was looking for or expected.

We had a lovely holiday at Lomani Resort. Compared to the craziness of family resorts, Lomani has a quiet and peaceful atmosphere where one can simply unwind and relax. The facilities are fantastic and staff are very friendly. Snorkelling is also amazing right off of the beach or with their snorkelling trip. I highly recommend a massage by Lome at the spa. It was the best massage I’ve ever had!

We recently spent 10 days at Lomani Island Resort and had the most relaxing holiday ever. We were treasured by staff and made to feel special each and every day. No request was too much trouble and the food was delicious. It was easy to reach the resort from the airport as transport is available several times a day. We enjoyed the "specials" that were offered with the length of our stay and the romantic ocean side dinner was magical with a very special waiter - Ben. We can't say enough for our wonderful beach side pool bure. It allowed us the opportunity to be quiet and private or to make friends within the resort or other nearby resorts and entertain them too - adults only though. With the proximity of other resorts, no activity is unattainable, although Lomani offers many activities through their own activity bure. We also enjoyed the personal touches during the cultural day ceremonies. I look forward to a return and to see what their renovations during the early part of 2020 will be like. The cleanliness of the resort was of an excellent standard.

We had the absolute best time in Fiji at the Lomani Island resort. From being greeted off the boat by Litiana to the farewell song, we had just an amazing time. When we arrived, my wife wasn’t feeling very well and Litiana took care of us and even was able to get us into a room temporarily until our room was ready so she could lay down and rest. We were there to celebrate Fiji day which even made it more special. Got to celebrate Fiji’s independence with the Lomani family. All of the staff there were amazing and treated us like family. Everyone was very genuine. I would like to call out exceptional service from Litiana, Meresiana, Orisi, Vivita, Ruci, Ben, Jim, Daniel and Bale. This place was so relaxing. When I stepped out of our Bure to the beach, it most often felt like it was our own beach. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Cannot wait to go back!
