Response from PIR-management, Manager at Plantation Island Resort
Responded 1 week ago
Bula Vedran, Firstly, you did not stay with us "last year". You stayed with us in June 2017. You reported the alleged theft in your guest feedback survey to us on the 21st of June 2017. After conducting a thorough investigation, I personally responded to you on the 27th June 2017. In my response, I stated we interviewed your babysitter who assured us she did not steal from you. 2 members of management searched that babysitters accommodation and could not find any of your missing money. Without evidence or witnesses, it is impossible to prove what you alleged to have stolen from you (without installing CCTV inside guest rooms). That is why we recommend that all our guests keep their valuables in the in-room safe. However, despite us taking your allegation seriously, swiftly conducting an investigation, responding to your complaint, contacting Police (who told us you met with them at the Radisson in Denarau) - you have made it your mission over the last 2 years to slander us across various of our social media platforms. You have used terminology that is quite unfair, insinuating that we allow theft at our Resort when it is far from true. Since you have no proof that "staff or cleaners" stole your money and you have received a police report to claim back your lost money on travel insurance, we request that you stop continually slamming us on social media and posting reviews long after you have stayed. If you cannot let it go, then I would recommend "un-liking" our social media pages so that you don't have to hear from us again. Akshay Singh Director of Sales & Marketing Plantation Island Resort PS In case you have forgotten, here is the email I sent you on 27 June 2017: Bula Vedran, Thank you for providing us with feedback about your recent stay at Plantation Island Resort. We are very sorry for what you experienced during your stay, it is certainly not the norm for money to go missing nor is it acceptable at our Resort. I just wanted to update you on the steps that have been taken so far. We have interviewed the babysitter who assures us that she did not take the money. 2 members of management have searched the babysitter's accommodation but could not find any of your missing items. We are also aware that you have met with Police at the Radisson in Denarau and they have provided you with a Police Report for your travel insurance claim. Unfortunately there is not much more we can do at this stage, without any evidence or witnesses. All we can say is that we are very sorry that this experience has had such a negative impact on your holiday. I hope everything that you lost can be claimed on travel insurance. Please feel free to contact me personally if you have any further questions or queries. Akshay Singh Director of Sales & Marketing

This is heaven on earth. We spent a blissful week here. It was 'off season'the which meant the weather was amazing AND we had pristine beaches to ourselves. Love this place and we will return ♥ Vinaka Vaka Levu

Most of the fancy amenities and facilities are wasted on me at hotels these days. I loved finding a hotel that didn't have the "extras",and could therefore charge less. It had everything I needed, food & wonderful people . I even liked that it was older, not a new, anonymous
