Apart from the beautiful Levuka Homestay up the hill, this is the only decent hotel in Levuka. The rooms are adequate and clean with modern amenities. It has a nice setting with view of the ocean. The meals, if you opt to eat here are simple but good, and are usually prepared by the manageress. You can also eat out...

This might the the only safe place to stay in Levuka as the other places I visited was very dated and looked like its about to crumble. New Mavida is new and clean and provided for a comfortable stay and a good point to explore Levuka from (eveything in Levuka is only a stroll away). The rooms could do with...

We arrived at 6:30pm and went to check in only for the manager to tell us that she had given our rooms away to other people. She didn't care that we'd just travelled over 12hours to get there and that we were foreign. She just walked out & left us there, in a strange town, in the dark to fend...

This hotel is much needed in a small town like Levuka. As i traveled alone i was very bored at the end of my stay. the rooms are very clean, beds are good and breakfast is lovely. I would highly recommend this place if it wasn't for the lazy staff and lack of basic amenities. Beware of the below: -there...

It is a small hotel in a little town. The 2 story building is on the main waterfront street of the charming historic town of Levuka. Everything is in walking distance anyway. Yes it is clean , has breakfast included in the price and sometimes the Wi-Fi is working . (not during our stay) . Since you don't expect anything...

We arrived at the New Mavida Lodge following a long bus/ferry/bus ride from Suva. The views from the bus of the countryside north of Fiji were lovely and the only delays we experienced were for refuelling the ferry at the dock at Natovi Landing, but refreshments were available. The ferry, too, had a lounge and refreshments area. We arrived in...

The New Mavida is a great accommodation option in Levuka, The interior is newly finished with lovely marble, gorgeous chandeliers, as well as beautifully furnished. The showers were piping hot, the beds tidy with fresh new sheets, and the meals were excellent. I stayed in the dorm which was quite comfortable, and Pacepe was a wonderful host. Very pleased with...

Before I start - the above rating is because there is not a lot to compare New Mavida with. We attended a beautiful local wedding at Leveuka Village and New Mavida was literally a 5 minute walk. This is a local Guest House with a variety of accommodation options ranging from FJD 30 to FJD 120 - Dorm style vs...

The hotel is very clean and spacious, breakfast included, hot showers, and they have free Internet! They have some different rooms to choose from, we stayed in a dorm, but the private rooms looked really nice as well! Well worth for the money. And only one minute walk from "downtown" Levuka. Staff is very nice and helpful. Probably the best...

“Do not be fooled - make sure you get the room you expected at the cost you expect to pay we were given a room that ended up at premium rate rather than the expected rate - nothing too bad but this trick will avoid that unexpected shock at checkout !!”
