Beautiful view of Tennessee River in romantic and quiet setting. Food from Lodge was very good. Bikes available but it was difficult to find two with chains on and air in tires. Undergrowth obstructs some of the views from the bluff and needs to be cleared out. We stayed at Greek Revival cottage. The bed was very comfy but blinds... More

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary by staying in the Greek Revival cottage for two nights, eating supper twice and breakfast twice at the lodge during our stay. It is obvious that the developer had grand plans that didn't come near to complete fruition, but what has been built seems sustainable. Your stay can be wonderful, if you manage... More

Our 40th Anniversary weekend was spent in 109 Laurel Street, a cute one bedroom/2 bath Charleston style row house. The Bluff views were spectacular and as predicted we had opportunity to enjoy it while the room was being readied for us. The house was comfortable and quiet but, as others have said, was lacking in housekeeping, insect control and maintenance.... More

Spent a weekend there based on recommendations from friends and its reputation. It certainly is a beautiful location overlooking the Tennessee River high on a bluff, but the lodge itself is in desperate need of cleaning, painting, and general upkeep. The room, although made up for new guests, had dirty windows and mirrors, cobwebs on the balcony along with peeling... More

I highly recommend staying in a room at this inn, or renting a cottage for large parties/further privacy. The view off the bluff of soaring bald eagles, forest preserve and pristine waters is breathtaking. I went on a sister's weekend, but the inn and cottages are perfect for couples, families, weddings, reunions and retreats. I wish they had a guest... More

Choosing to travel last minute we found Gorham's online. All options were booked except Ryan cabin. We absolutely loved our stay. The location views are stunning. The accommodations were absolutely top notch: three bedroom beautifully built house with semi-stocked kitchen, laundry facility, wifi...although we could have prepared our meals, the meals at the lodge were wonderful and the service personable.... Wonderful weekend, wonderful service, the food is outstanding. Some of the best meals we have ever had. Staff is very nice. Planning to return. A great place to just relax and enjoy the view. The chef is outstanding and very creative. Enjoyed seafood in northern Alabama that tasted like it came straight off the boat. Really can't say enough about... More

My husband & I went there for our anniversary & I can't say enough good things about it! Beautiful & quiet & so perfect! We had the Owen's room & just LOVED it. And the meals the onsite chef cooked were beyond AMAZING & so reasonable for what you got! We plan on going back every year!

We stayed at the lodge in December, in the Owens Suite. We booked that one because it had a hot tub and a double sided fireplace. When we got there, we asked how to use the fireplace and were told it didn't work. The manager asked us what she could do for us to make up for that, without offering... More

Just returned from a getaway at gorham's bluff. We stayed in the Roden room in the lodge. We have stayed there several times and have taken family and friends to stay and have always enjoyed it. This time was different. On arrival we could see that the outside has been damaged for some time and not repaired. Our room was... More
