#10 of 19 hotels in Orange Beach
Orange Beach, Alabama is located on the beautiful Alabama Gulf Coast, less than 10 miles from better-known Gulf Shores. Orange Beach might not be as well known, but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful. With miles of white sand and emerald water, a day at the beach is a must. These beaches host an abundance of watersports, and the area is also one of the largest deep-sea fishing communities on the Gulf. Orange Beach visitors will also enjoy challenging golf courses, nightlife, shopping, sightseeing, and delicious local restaurants. Minutes from Orange Beach and Gulf Shores attractions, the Palm Beach Resort is an oceanfront property. With such pristine beaches, we doubt you’ll want to spend much time inside, but this property features beautiful one, two, and three-bedroom condo rentals with full kitchens and spacious living areas. Just past a heated outdoor pool and picnic area, you’ll find onsite beach access.

Overall I can see why some people might like this facility. It isn't the worst in the world, but it feels like an old renovated Ramada Inn Hotel (even though they have always been condos). Style and decor is very basic and outdated, but clean. When booking, however, if you want an ocean FRONT, do not go by the photo. It will show an oceanfront room but you will only get an ocean VIEW. There is a difference. Guest-wise, it's primarily older, retirees with their families and grandkids. If you want something more vibey or swank and current, this is NOT the place. Unfortunately we stayed while there was construction going on so, if we weren't on the beach or of the premises, it was nothing but power saws and jack hammers all day. As my luck would have it, I came down here for a semi working/vacay trip so… yeah, then there's that. :(

West palm Orange beach is an older property with lots of potential. The resort exterior is dated and not maintained doors with paint peelings off, rust, and people smoking. The unit we stayed in 31D was nicely renovated with white and grey furnishings but, some of the couches and chairs had crumbs and stains on them. The way our room was situated we had ocean views and beach access from our room. BY THE WAY- There is only 1 available elevator available because of construction and Phoenix Gulf Towers is being built so there is a lot of noise present at the resort.

Had to switch from escapes by the shore because they were doing construction. Palm beach has not been kept up. Lamp shade in living room half coming down. Lights in bedroom so dark you could not read if you wanted too. I pay a lot of annual maintenance fees to stay at both escapes and palm beach. Look at photos attached. Furniture is stained and appliances old. Where does our $1000.00 a year maintenance fee go to.

Getting in contact with someone about the room to fix something is out of the question. Fridge was leaking (not cooling) spoiled the food we just bought for the trip wasted. Calling after calling after calling nothing.

We stayed for an extended weekend in mid-September. This was my first time to stay here and I was leery of some of the reviews. HOWEVER, this place was perfect! It is beautiful and extremely well maintained. All of the employees we spoke with were kind. The grounds were impeccably kept. The walkway to the beach is very short and easy to manage. We managed to stay right before Hurricane Sally hit so we did not rent beach chairs/umbrella, but we did enjoy the beach despite that. My son loved swimming in the pools located on property. I have already priced a second stay for the upcoming summer. We will definitely return!
